Enjoy pure nature on the Dutch border

Vreden is a small town with about 24,000 inhabitants near the Dutch border.

Nature reserves, great cycling trails (tracking and mountain biking) are just a stone's throw away. The Zwillbrocker Venn, which is known for the northernmost natural breeding ground for wild flamingos, is for example on the Flamingo Route. The 100 castles route is also well known among cyclists. An off road mountain bike route connects the neighboring village of Allstätte and the Dutch town of Endschede.

Also on foot you can roam through forests and enjoy nature.

A grocery store and country restaurant are only 3 km away.

In addition, there is the possibility to start a canoe trip with the Berkel. An outdoor swimming pool and tennis and public basketball courts can be reached in a few minutes by car.

The Dutch towns of Endschede and Winterswijk are only about 19km away. Here is, as usual in Holland, 2x a week a market.
