A cozy treehouse with a view of the Rhine, its own terrace with a fire pit, and direct access to the river.
An insider’s tip for cycling, hiking, or water sports enthusiasts.
Or you can sit in a beach chair, watch the boats and ships go by, and let your gaze wander toward the Siegaue.
This small treehouse was created as part of an upcycling project and is located at the secluded end of our L-shaped garden, so you’ll have the treehouse and the seating/cooking area below all to yourself.
Access to the treehouse is also separate from the main house.
A fire pit, composting toilet, and solar shower provide an authentic outdoor and adventure experience.
You can safely store canoes, SUPs, or bikes in the courtyard or garden, and charge e-bikes and cars directly with solar power.
From the treehouse, you can see the Rhine and the mouth of the Sieg across the river.
Both rivers are wonderful for paddling, and the Sieg is perfect for a relaxing swim—in the summer, you can often even wade across it.
A ferry just a 5-minute walk away takes you to the other side of the Rhine and thus to the idyllic Siegaue, a large nature reserve.
And the path right along the Rhine is part of the German Way of St. James and leads you all the way to Bonn or north to Cologne. In both directions, you’ll find a café or restaurant with a river view within a 5–10-minute walk, where you can enjoy excellent food. (NOA serves Italian cuisine), and the Fährcafé offers all kinds of delicious treats, including ice cream and tasty cakes.
Relax alone or enjoy a cozy time for two.
The treehouse measures about 5 square meters at the top and is equipped with a 1.20 x 2-meter sleeping area, plus space for an extra mattress and a folding table. Cooking and dining can take place at ground level, right in the sheltered space below.
You can hang a hammock—which is provided—either in the treehouse or underneath it.
You can also set up a tent.
If you’d like soup in the evening or breakfast in the morning, please let us know in advance.
Check-in is usually from 4:00 p.m.
If you enjoy the sound of church bells, you’ll love the nearby church bells; if you’re not a morning person, just pack some earplugs.
And even though it’s a green oasis in the middle of the city, you might hear neighbors in their gardens.

A beautiful place to unwind. As soon as I arrived, I felt like I was in another world—not just because of the amazing treehouse, but also because of the usable outdoor area that comes with it. Fantastic location with a view of the Rhine. Antje is a wonderful host; she gave me a warm welcome and showed me around in detail. Communication was positive throughout. I’ll definitely be back.
My son and I had a wonderful time at this magical place! Everything has been thought of, a lot has been improvised, but everything has been designed with lots of love. Antje and her family were super nice and thoughtful, the perfect hosts. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it!
The site is a little gem where you can relax and unwind in the greenery and by the water. Cozy tree house, view of the water, lovingly furnished, inside and out. Delicacies for dinner and breakfast on request. The hostess is really nice, explains everything really well and leaves nothing to be desired. We would love to come back again!
Very kind and accommodating, we had a great time! See you soon!
Very accommodating, offered us to shower in the house due to the temperature, the view of the Rhine super and for my grandson a great experience. Again and again
