A cozy treehouse with a view of the Rhine, a private terrace with a fire pit, and direct access to the river.
An insider’s tip for cycling, hiking, or water sports enthusiasts.
Or you can watch the boats and ships from the beach chair and let your gaze wander toward the Siegaue.
The small treehouse is the result of an upcycling project and stands at the secluded end of our L-shaped garden, so you have privacy in the treehouse and the seating/cooking area below.
Access is also separate from the main house.
A fire pit, composting toilet, and solar shower provide an authentic outdoor and adventure experience.
Canoes, SUPs, or bikes can be safely stored in the courtyard or garden, and e-bikes/cars can be charged directly with solar power.
From the treehouse, you can see the Rhine and the Sieg estuary across the river.
Both rivers are wonderful for paddling, and the Sieg is perfect for a relaxing swim...in summer, you can often even wade across it.
A ferry just a 5-minute walk away takes you to the other side of the Rhine and thus to the idyllic Siegaue, a large nature reserve.
And the path right along the Rhine is part of the German Way of St. James and leads you all the way to Bonn or north to Cologne. In both directions, you’ll find a café or restaurant with a river view just a 5–10-minute walk away, where you can also enjoy a great meal. (NOA serves Italian cuisine) and the Ferry Café offers all sorts of delicious treats, including ice cream and tasty cakes.
Relax alone or enjoy a cozy time as a couple.
The treehouse is approximately 5.5 square meters at the top and features a 1.20 x 2-meter sleeping area, plus space for an additional mattress and a folding table. Cooking and dining can take place at ground level directly in the sheltered space below.
In the treehouse, there is a hammock hanging above the bed with a view out the window.
A tent can also be set up.
If you’d like soup in the evening or breakfast in the morning, please let us know in advance.
Check-in is usually from 4 p.m.
Those who enjoy the sound of church bells will appreciate the nearby church bells; early risers can simply pack earplugs.
Free cancellation up to 10 days before arrival. Or within 48 hours of booking, up to one day before arrival.
