The Säumerranch is located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, on the green border with the Czech National Park in the tri-state area.
Here, we offer our guests a campsite with a view of the Dreisessel and the Bohemian Forest. This small, private Bavarian ranch is home to dogs, cats, and horses.
The Bavarian National Park and, in winter, the nearby ski resorts are also easily accessible. If you don’t want to drive in winter, you can also use the ski lift right outside the front door.
Whether it’s hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, or—in winter—downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and sledding, the Säumerranch has plenty to offer.

We spent two nights at the ranch in our RV and were warmly welcomed by Roman, Sandra (I hope I have the right name), their dog, and their cat. It’s a quiet spot with a great view. We got some tips for our bike tour and on where to fill up on gas cheaply in the Czech Republic before heading home. Since we’d forgotten to go shopping on Saturday, Sandra helped us out with a side dish for the barbecue—that was so nice of her, thanks again for that! We’ll definitely be back!
