Camping away from the hustle and bustle of the campsites.
We are happy to invite friendly campers to visit us on our farm.
The tent pitches are located between trees, so you can choose between sunny or shady locations.
The Resthof is ecologically managed and is located between the Oste and Elbe rivers in the middle of nature.
Hamburg with all its sights and Cuxhaven with its bathing and surfing beach are both about an hour's drive away and can be reached just as quickly by train from Himmelpforten. The train station in Himmelpforten is only 7 km away.
In addition to people, a dog, horses, sheep, cats and free-range chickens live on the premises.
In the kitchen/sanitary container there is a small kitchen equipped with everything you need, including a small stove and oven, pans, pots, crockery and cutlery.
There is also a hot water outdoor shower, toilet, fresh water and two fire pits with large fire bowls for cozy campfire evenings.
Wood for the fire pit can be purchased on site at standard commercial prices.
Our dog does not like visits from other dogs.
A visit is particularly recommended for bird and nature lovers.
Depending on the weather, sunsets and starry skies are free of charge.

Please do not feed the animals living on the farm.
Due to the risk of fire (thatched roof, storage of hay and straw), open fires are only permitted by prior arrangement on the designated fireplaces in the fire bowls. This also applies to coal.
Due to a lack of child safety precautions, we currently only welcome adult guests.

Claudia and Olaf's place was beautiful and peaceful. We were greeted by stunning nature and lots of animals. The shared facilities were well-designed and well-equipped; we were able to cook, make hot drinks, and enjoy a wonderful hot shower. We would definitely camp here again!
A truly beautiful campground with very warm and welcoming hosts—definitely worth a stay. The lovingly designed bathroom and kitchen container, in particular, makes your stay comfortable and hassle-free, without taking away from the special charm and that authentic camping experience!
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to meet Claudia herself. However, the campsite and the arrangements were described in sufficient detail beforehand, so we didn’t have any questions upon our arrival. This was our first time going on a cycling trip with a tent, and we didn’t feel like we were missing anything at the campsite. The kitchen is great! We especially liked the outdoor shower! Since it rained during the night and in the morning, we would have appreciated a small shelter with seating. That would have allowed us to have breakfast a bit more comfortably and perhaps pack up our things more easily. Maybe this is something to consider. Another tip for campers: we recommend using pointed, sturdy tent stakes that aren’t too long. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

If you're looking for some peace and quiet, this is the perfect spot. The campsite is in a wonderfully idyllic location right next to the farm and offers a great view of the countryside. The hosts are super friendly, and communication was easy.
Simple, but perfectly adequate—and, above all, wonderfully quiet.
