It’s the second week of the training course in Aschersleben, and I’ve set up “camp” here again. You can easily get anywhere here by bike. Aschersleben city center is about 8 km away, Concordia Lake is 10 km away, the best burger in the Harz Mountains is at Möto (3 km away), and so on and so forth. Reinstedt also has a bus connection to Aschersleben, but I didn’t use it. The bottom line for the second week: We’ll definitely be back.
Since I was in Aschersleben for two weeks on business and the weather forecast was still good for biking, I decided to stay in a camper instead of a hotel—and it was absolutely the right decision. The campsite is located on the outskirts of the village with an unobstructed view of the Brocken, and everything was wonderfully relaxed—including Enrico. 👌🏻 Water, electricity, a dry toilet, and an outdoor shower were all available and easy to use. By the end of the week, it was clear: I’d be staying here for a second week, too.
Our first trip to the countryside in our rented Weini RV—and it was unforgettable for more than just that. We felt right at home with Enrico from the very start. It has everything you need—no more, no less. Plus, there’s an abundance of nature and tranquility, and a warm host who clearly loves what he does. We felt very comfortable there and learned one thing: one night isn’t enough for us—next time 🙂
This was our second visit here in such a short time because we enjoyed it so much, and we’ll definitely be coming back more often. The host couldn’t have been friendlier; chickens that greet you in the morning while you’re drinking coffee; a great view of the Broken; and plenty of nature to relax in overall. You get used to the outdoor dry toilet pretty quickly, too. All in all, there’s nothing to complain about, and I’d recommend it to anyone :)
The grounds and the garden are beautiful, and the people who own them are open and warm. I felt completely at home and would recommend this place anytime :)
