How can I book a free California Experience?
To book a free California Experience, you can get your personal discount code through the California Club from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Membership is free and open to everyone – regardless of what vehicle you drive.
Here's how it works:
1. Choose a Camp with California Experience.
2. Scroll down the respective listing to the hinterland.camp x California Experience and click on Become a free California Club member now
3. Accept the required cookies.
4. Register with the California Club.
5. Confirm your registration via the confirmation link automatically sent to you by email.
6. Agree to the terms of use; otherwise, you won't be able to see the benefits in the California Club.
7. Select: “Book your Hinterland spot & get a free Experience”, scroll down and tap “Continue to email entry”.
8. Enter your email address and tap “Request benefit”.
9. You will now receive your discount code directly by email within a few seconds.
10. Open your favorite Experience Camp in the Hinterland app or on the website.
11. Select your booking dates as usual and tap “To booking” or “Request booking”.
12. Select the California Experience at checkout and enter your discount code.
13. The Experience will then be included in your booking free of charge.Do I have to pay for the California Experience?
No, the California Experience is completely free. Once you've chosen an experience, you can easily register for the California Club and request your personal discount code. Membership is free and open to everyone – regardless of the vehicle you drive. When booking a participating Camp, simply select the California Experience, enter your code, and enjoy your free Hinterland experience!
Who can participate in the California Experiences?
Everyone! California Club membership is free and open to all – no matter what vehicle you drive. Register for the California Club, receive your discount code by email, and easily redeem it when booking your pitch in the Hinterland app or on the website.
Can I book multiple free California Experiences?
No. Each individual Experience code can only be used once. One free California Experience can be redeemed per Hinterland account.
