Hang-Loose-Vibes at the "Multivan Surf Cups" 2022

The waves are crashing, the wind is whistling, the sun is shining from the blue sky and our vintage photo box is creating a really good atmosphere among the visitors - we couldn't have imagined a better start to the Windsurf Cup season for the long Whitsun weekend on the Baltic Sea beach of Kellenhusen! Together with our partner Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge we are allowed to be part of the six [Multivan Windsurf Cups]() this summer, the scene meeting of the best German windsurfers, who fight for the German championship title: we have already been to Kellenhusen and to Borkum - next we will go twice to the beautiful St. Peter Ording, to Heiligenhafen and to the island Sylt. For us as a "small" hinterland, it is a great honor to be there and we are very happy to finally meet our community in person and just chat with you a bit!

Always with us: Our Hinterland Photo Box! We built it ourselves and chose the very best background for your photos at the events: the chic vintage T2 "Rosalinde" from 1979. Our props, such as Hawaiian shirts, flower necklaces or summer hats, provide the right surfer vibes and a little more color in the picture. What makes us especially happy: No matter if old or young, children, dogs, partners, friends or siblings - here really everyone likes to participate!

By the way, you get the pictures printed free of charge within a few seconds as a reminder of your time at the sea. In addition, you can scan a QR code and have the pictures conveniently directly on your phone.

For three winners and their companions, the Multivan Windsurf Cup in Kellenhusen was a camping adventure with hang loose surf vibes right by the sea! In the run-up to the event, we had raffled off one of three vans [on our Instagram channel]() \- two VW T 6.1 California and the VW Grand California - for the overnight stay in close proximity to the water. What a unique spot!

During the day, the winners were able to watch the Surf Cup participants compete or even take part in a windsurfing session themselves, relax on the beach, play volleyball or simply cruise along the promenade on their bikes - and then fall asleep in the evening to the gentle sound of the sea in the van. Winner Jonas' conclusion after the long weekend at Hotel California: "Thanks for this great weekend! Now we could also get a taste of van life. It was great!" At the second Multivan Windsurf Cup on Borkum, already the arrival was a highlight for us! From Eemshaven in the Netherlands, we took the ferry with our (vintage) vans to the largest of the East Frisian Islands and let the first fresh North Sea breeze blow around our noses.

The event mile on Borkum directly on the beach promenade with the sea in the background and bright sunshine made the summer feeling perfect! From a sporting point of view, the surfers were only able to ride one heat, as the wind and the current did not quite play along - but the many visitors still walked along the promenade in a good mood and were happy to take a seat in our photo box!
