A lovely campsite in “Oed” on a spacious, gently sloping meadow (with wheel chocks; can also be used without them without any problems) next to a farm (cattle ranch) and the host’s home—that’s all there is in “Oed.” And that’s exactly one of the wonderful things about this spot: it’s quiet, close to nature (forest trails with a pond nearby), yet not far from civilization. Electricity is available via a power column at the site (requires a few meters of extension cord), and the incredibly warm-hearted hosts also open their clean guest bathroom with a shower and towels in the basement of their house to anyone who’d like to use it or needs to (+€4). A particularly great service: You can sort and dispose of your own trash here. You can also purchase eggs from the hosts’ own free-range chickens. A campsite where the world is still in order—and which is especially well-suited for anyone seeking peace and nature away from the hustle and bustle. Just the mooing of cattle, the occasional fresh country air, and the occasional sound of vehicles from the neighboring farm during the day shouldn’t bother you. By the way: If you enjoy beer, you can also stop by one of the Zoigl pubs in the neighboring villages, where “Zoigl-authorized” residents brew this bottom-fermented beer—a specialty of the northern Upper Palatinate.
The hosts are very warm and helpful. The property is spacious and has a beautiful view. It’s very quiet, so you should enjoy country life. You can book fresh eggs as an add-on 😀 The bathroom in the basement of the house is super clean, and small toiletries are provided. For us, it was a very successful short getaway.
Christine and Christian are such warm and welcoming hosts! We felt very comfortable there and would come back anytime. Our campsite was quiet, with a wonderful view of cows and lots of nature.

Booking and communication went smoothly! The pitch is a large meadow with a very nice view and although you are close to the courtyard, you have peace and quiet. The bathroom is very nice and super clean. Everything really fits! Christian and his family are great people! Our kids made friends straight away, admired the chicks and went to the playground. You can take the dogs for a walk in the neighboring forest and discover a lot!
