What a fantastic spot and such a warm welcome. After we (2 adults with 1 dog) fled Hitzacker because the campground there was completely overcrowded, dirty, and noisy, Matthias took us in on the spot. We were allowed to park right in front of the beautiful mill in the driveway, since the actual spot was already taken. Wonderful peace and quiet and a great view on the park-like property. On top of that, we were even given some freshly laid eggs from the mill’s chickens.We’d like to take this opportunity to say a very heartfelt thank you once again for the exceptional hospitality. We’d love to come back whenever we’re traveling through the north, and we highly recommend this one-of-a-kind spot at the Tollendorfermühle. Warm regards from Mühltal.
Matthias is a really lovely host. We felt very comfortable and spent a beautiful, peaceful, starry night at the mill. Note for light sleepers (in a rooftop tent): on the adjacent street, rush-hour traffic is quite audible—at least on weekdays from 6 a.m. to just after 8 a.m. Otherwise, it’s truly wonderfully quiet.
A wonderfully peaceful spot next to a cornfield and the old mill. Great places to go for walks. The friendly host was easy to reach, and setting up electricity and water was hassle-free. A magnificent starry sky thanks to zero light pollution. Thank you!

A lovely place with caring hosts—highly recommended. The campground’s location is also ideal for setting out on bike tours through the Wendland. I felt very comfortable there and would love to come back.

I booked at really short notice. But everything was great! I was offered electricity and water and just had my peace and quiet. The night was very exciting with all the noises around us. The pitch is in the middle of nature right next to the forest. You couldn't see much of the mill from the pitch. Nevertheless, we were allowed to enter the property on request and admire the beautiful mill and the great property. Many thanks for that!

Everything went perfectly - the pitch is very nicely located on the edge of the field, and you can see the beautiful historic mill. directions were good, booking (spontaneous) and communication went great, met Matthias despite the short stay - thank you very much I'll be back :-)
The site at Tollendorfer Mühle is in a very idyllic location with a beautiful view of the countryside. Matthias gave us a warm welcome and provided us with good tips, we felt well looked after as guests.
