The place is really beautiful and surrounded by nature. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a rabbit and some free-range chickens. Right now, there are even storks in their nest. Hermann is very friendly and even provided us with fresh rolls. We’d love to come back. Martin and Sonja

We booked on the spur of the moment and received a warm welcome. Hermann gave us lots of great tips for bike rides and things to do in Xanten. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and it’s a great place to relax. Hermann is very accommodating. The free-range chickens and the pair of storks were a special highlight. We’d love to come back.

Dear Hermann, What an idyllic spot! We felt so at home with you that we spontaneously decided to stay an extra night—we just couldn’t bring ourselves to leave this peaceful setting behind.🥰 You can tell right away how much love has gone into this place. The wild hedge and the orchard create a wonderfully private atmosphere. A real highlight was the nature right outside the door: We spotted hares and even saw a pair of storks (right outside the front door) nesting—pure nature! The location is also just great for dog owners. We’re just setting off on our hike toward Xanten’s Nordsee and Südsee and are really looking forward to the walk. Thank you so much for your hospitality; we’ll definitely be back 100%! Best regards

Nice stay outside of town. Hermann brought some nice routes for hiking and biking on the first evening. I recommended this place ;-)

I spent time on the beautiful, well-kept pitch on a meadow. During the day on the sky lounger and in the evening by the fire with stars and a full moon (permitted due to the weather). You can get to Xanten and the North Sea quickly by bike. Hermann is the perfect host. He is very helpful. He brought me a fire basket, wood and kindling. There's honey and eggs if you want them. And also otherwise ... he has his heart in the right place :) A clear recommendation from me.

A very beautiful and idyllic orchard...We were given a very nice welcome by Andrea and Hermann-Josef. Electricity and water were also available. You can cycle to the Rhine, which is only about 2 km away. If we are passing through Holland again, we will come back. 👍 Laura and Matthias Meisterjahn

Wonderful place of peace and tranquillity. Very well maintained, lovingly designed. We are thrilled. We spent some great days surrounded by chickens and storks in the middle of nature. Electricity available. Fresh water too. However, waste disposal is not possible. It's best to think about this in advance, plan ahead and take it with you. We took delicious chicken eggs with us and had a great weekend all round. Hermann is a really great guy and a great host. We'll be back again🥰

Even the reception was super nice. We were lucky and were able to choose a free pitch. The hosts are very attentive and try to fulfill all wishes and give the campers plenty of space. The meadow itself is beautifully situated and well maintained. We had a great, relaxing time. However, it should be borne in mind that the rooster from the host's description crows from 5:30 am for 2-3 hours. It was ok for us, but maybe not for everyone. :-) We would love to come back.

Very well-kept place. Hermann makes every effort to make you feel at home. Many excursion possibilities. Right on the cycle path. We were completely satisfied and would come again.

Very lovingly laid out camping meadow, friendly hosts and beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The chickens that roam freely among the campers are great. During our stay, we were also lucky enough to see a breeding pair of storks right next to the site. We would love to come back!

Very hospitable and generous providers of the site. Super signposted from the road. The pitch is in a park-like meadow, in a very quiet location. Everything is clean, well-kept and lovingly furnished. Electricity is directly at the pitch, water at the house. Chickens, storks and birds can be observed in the immediate vicinity. A highly recommended pitch.
