We were passing through and were very sweetly received. In addition to very trusting animals, you can also like to look past in the small farm store. We stood self-sufficiently directly on the donkey paddock and the view is already pure relaxation! Thank you for the good communication and the wonderful stay on your farm:)
A beautiful farm, the hosts are very nice and helpful. Especially nice is the farm for children, they can use everything and are busy all day 😊
It is really nice at Katrin's! Our arrival was spontaneous and we have found quite relaxed hosts. A nice quiet place, in front of us donkeys, behind us pigs and next to chickens since krauelt you like even as 58ig year old! Thank you Hubertus and Christine
A great experience for the whole family. Many animals, play opportunities and much to discover. We parents could relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and tranquility. Thank you for the warm welcome, we will be very happy to come back.
We felt very comfortable on the farm,everything was very clean and the owners are very nice! There is much for children to discover and play.our two year old son had a lot of fun! For the hot days there is a nice outdoor pool just 8min drive away. The rolls from the bread service was also very tasty. We think that we were not the last time there! Kind regards family Thiel
We had a great, relaxed stay and a small, secluded spot and therefore lots of privacy. Katrin is super friendly, fresh bread rolls were available for breakfast by arrangement and we were also able to use the fire bowl and wood. The sanitary facilities were spotlessly clean. The small farm store had all kinds of goodies. We would come back at any time, a great farm with lots of animals and plenty of fields and woods for hiking.
Great child-friendly farm with wonderful regional and farm products. The hosts (including bunny,tomcat and chickens) were very warm and communication went smoothly and very spontaneous! Thank you very much for this nice overnight stay!
We were spontaneously a second time in a short time there and it was just as great as the first time. A great recommendation especially with small children and / or just for pure relaxation. We come again with pleasure

We stood for two nights with Katrin on the farm. The weather was unfortunately so semi great, but we made the best of it and still had super fun. Katrin is extremely hospitable and has a super friendly nature! Our kids were allowed to feed the animals with the vacation children, use the hay castle and the children's tractors. A highlight! The pitch itself was also great - right next to the chickens and donkeys and the bathroom the nicest we ever had. There was also a bread service. All around a successful short trip and we will definitely be back! Thank you very much!
At the Kastanienhof with Katrin and Frank was our first stop of a long tour and the trip could not have started better. We will recommend this farm to everyone who wants to hear it. You are in the middle of beautiful nature, wonderfully secluded and can choose your pitch freely. Electricity is available, a kitchen for washing up and a clean beautiful bathroom. The small farm store offers many delicacies and the bread service is just luxury. For children, all sorts of things are offered, from a play straw barn, to a playground with mud kitchen and many toys. The animals and the tractor ride were our highlights. The hosts are super warm and committed. Gladly again and again.
We were very nicely welcomed to the Kastanienhof and had a great spot by the chicken enclosure, with a view of the donkeys. Our junior was in paradise and has extensively used the great offers like the pedal tractor park, the playground and the straw castle. The little farm store had some little treats for us. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we will certainly come again ☀️
Very hospitable and warm hosts. We had a great pitch next to the donkey paddock. The bathroom was very nice, clean and not far from the pitch. In the small Selbstvedienungs farm store there is delicious sheep's milk ice cream and the matching jam to the rolls, which we were allowed to choose the night before. Absolutely recommendable!
Thanks to the super directions, we quickly found the farm and were greeted directly by the farm cat at the entrance. Katrin has shown us everything and son could quickly play brightly enthusiastic in the straw castle or the mud kitchen. In the morning, the neighbor woke us lovingly with his cock-a-doodle-doo and we could watch donkeys and sheep. Rabbits, pigs and chickens could be fed with great enthusiasm. If it had not been so cold, we would have liked to treat ourselves to an ice cream in the self-service farm store, so we will have to save it for our next visit;)

We would first like to say thank you for the warm welcome. We felt really comfortable and can only recommend the stay. In the morning there were delicious rolls to order and in the afternoon a sooo delicious ice cream from sheep's milk. Simply great. We had the place right by the donkeys and really enjoyed it with our granddaughter. Could play badminton, or feed the rabbits with fresh grass. We were allowed to use the toilet free of charge. Katrin is a great hostess who cares a lot about the well-being of her visitors. With her on the farm you can enjoy freedom and relax. Sleeping among all the animals was a nice experience for us, so we would like to come again (which is, fortunately, not far from Duisburg) 🙂 .
It was an unforgettable camping experience. We were warmly welcomed and had a great time. Bunny feeding (the absolute highlight of our little ones), as well as the straw castle, petting donkeys, watching sheep or pigs, plus a nice little farm store with goodies.... Simply idyllic with the great playground and the beautiful nature around... We felt right at home. Kathrin was an incredibly attentive and lovely hostess. Always a nice conversation and she was very helpful, so we could enjoy our stay very much. Many many thanks for everything....

Katrin is a very warm hostess. The place is beautiful, relaxing and offers a small farm store with its own products and a great bread service. Our dog also felt very comfortable. We are very happy to come back.
Our visit, announced at short notice, was quickly confirmed. The reception was warm and after briefing on the local conditions, such as toilet, courtyard garden, etc. we were allowed to choose one of three possible pitches. Surrounded by donkey enclosures, chickens and rabbits, we then set up camp. On the spacious meadow with playground, our daughter could play and especially engage with the animals. The rabbits made the race at the end with her. Campfire in fire bowl with grill was allowed. So it became very cozy. A small drawback was the rooster that announced the morning early. If necessary, you should choose the site at the small pond or who wants to sleep in, use earplugs. But that's how it is on a farm. We can highly recommend the Kastanienhof and thank you for the wonderful time there.
It would have actually become 5 stars, but the muddy floor and some misunderstandings led to the star deduction. But positive were friendliness, service, offer and location! We had electricity, eggs, rolls and a nice short time.
Beautiful pitch, many animals and good, clean facilities. Katrin is a great Gadtgeberin, where you quickly feel at home!
We have spent very nice days with a warm and humorous hostess. We were very satisfied, a great pitch, very clean sanitary facilities and not least the lovingly designed farm store. We will gladly come again to Katrin and her Kastanienhof 😊

We had a great time with Katrin and her family at the Kastanienhof. The contact was already great in advance and on the farm just beautiful and relaxed. We were helped immediately because our extension has not reached our dream place at the small pond. Nice under trees there were fresh eggs and rolls in the morning. The small farm store offers a lot more, unfortunately also sweet stuff. The Egyptian geese were 10 meters away and kept watch. The bathroom with shower was a dream with the temperatures. Walking, eating plums straight from the tree, petting donkeys, the days at Katrin's did us and our three dachshunds good. We will be back very soon.
A warm welcome and a pitch with a view of the donkeys u sheep. Everything very lovingly arranged and there is always something to discover. The children could romp and were also allowed to help with the mucking out ☺️Wir have felt very comfortable and say thank you again for your great hospitality.
We had a very nice and relaxing vacation at Kastanienhof with our three small children. Katrin has welcomed us very nicely and the children have enthusiastically played with the play tractors and in the small playground with the mud kitchen. They were allowed to feed the rabbits and look for eggs with the chickens, while we parents enjoyed the peace and beautiful view. Gladly again!

For us the perfect place to spend a few days with two small children (3 years and 5 months) a relaxing camping vacation. We all felt completely comfortable and welcome.
We had a wonderful weekend at the Kastanienhof! The pitch was located directly on the donkey meadow, in absolute peace. At a small duck pond there is another place, which also looked very inviting! We got fresh rolls in the morning and a small farm store offers one or the other treat. 😊 For our little daughter there was a playground with mud kitchen, a straw castle to romp and a whole fleet of Trettreckern and co. 😄 It was all totally uncomplicated, we were treated very warmly and we come back guaranteed! Thank you very much Katrin!
The farm is very nice, and wonderfully quiet. The little traffic on the road we have not heard, but many birds, now and then was a farm animal to hear. Switch off and enjoy nature goes super here. We were allowed to pitch our tent where we wanted, and have chosen a very nice place under trees by the pond. Watching the kingfisher fishing early in the morning was our highlight. Many thanks to Katrin, who has taken care of us with her unagitated way, very nice, offered us stay alternatives at 36 °, as well as in thunderstorms. We will gladly come again and would recommend this place to others. Sigrid + Hans

Katrin and her family are super warm hosts. We could choose our pitch on the beautiful farm and chose the one directly opposite the donkeys. For the morning we ordered fresh rolls and could also get eggs from the farm's own chickens for Sunday breakfast. Everything was top also the sanitary facilities. The chilled drinks from the small farm store were also a hit in the heat. Too bad we only had time for one night, we would have loved to stay longer and can only recommend you to visit the Kastanienhof!!!

We stood very quietly by the ponds and shared the pitch with ducks, geese, fox and deer. In the morning we used the bread service and enjoyed the fresh eggs from the farm chickens. Katrin is a very friendly host and we felt very comfortable. We will be happy to come back again!
We had a very nice stay at the Kastanienhof in the direct neighborhood of ducks, geese, piglets and donkeys. With pleasure we come again.
We had spent a super great, relaxing short vacation at the Kastanienhof and just felt wonderfully comfortable the whole time! Katrin and her family are super friendly hosts and had also made it really nice for us: fresh rolls for breakfast, wood for the fire bowl and meadow riding for the kids, who were of course also mega excited about all the other offers for them on the farm! 😀 We will definitely be back!

The Kastanienhof is the absolute dream. Wonderful location, everything top maintained, donkey directly in front of the camper door u.s.w.....The space would not be enough to note everything. The icing on the cake, however, are the hosts. Friendlier and more helpful it does not go. You also get a lot of information about life on the farm. Simply beautiful.

We spent a beautiful summer evening at Katrin. Very friendly welcome and we were even allowed to choose a place directly on the pond. Very idyllic and quiet location. Here you can really enjoy yourself. We will definitely come again, live almost around the corner ☺️
We liked it very much with Katrin and her family. The location was great, not to mention the nice hosts and the great service. I was there with my daughter, who felt very comfortable between all the residents. She was even allowed to help out and was mighty proud. For breakfast there was a bread roll service. It is not far to Hameln or Bad Pyrmont and it is definitely worth a visit. We will be back next year.

I liked it very much at the Kastanienhof. The reception by Katrin was very warm and uncomplicated. My pitch at the ponds was very idyllic. The small farm store and the bread service I find super. There are eggs from the chickens there. It hardly goes fresher. 😃 Everything is very neat and tidy. I really liked the campfire with stick bread in the evening. My Bulli and I like to come back again. I have not seen so many stars at night for a long time. 😃 Many greetings and see you soon.

Katrin and her family would deserve 10 out of 5 stars, but unfortunately I can not give them. As hosts they were super nice, accommodating, uncomplicated and the bread service excellent. The farm is a dream, especially for children! If we can arrange it again, we will definitely come back!

Wonderful small farm, perfect with small children. With very sympathetic owners, bread service, farm eggs, watchful donkeys and beautiful view. Despite a lot of (vacation) hustle and bustle, there was always time for a nice chat. We are already looking forward to the next time :)
We were 2 adults on the farm.It was just heavenly,this peace and pure country air was wonderful.To be so close to nature.The hospitality was great,everything to the best,every morning fresh rolls brought.Free-range,fresh chicken eggs eaten.Fresh Zuchini from the garden.And the animals so close experienced.We like to come back!!!!!!!!

Chestnut farm is beautifully situated, overlooking hills and forests. The grounds offer plenty of opportunities for children to play and explore. The farm is well maintained and lovingly furnished with rural accessories that encourage discovery and sometimes smiles. As campers, we stood vis à vis to the donkey and mule meadow, which and friendly and interested in the neighborhood. The farm makes clear that it does not need much for satisfied children ( and adults): rest, contact with animals, play opportunities in nature. Our children were especially enthusiastic about the straw castle. The hosts welcomed us very friendly and made all wishes possible (e.g. a very spontaneous donkey walk and meadow surfing) and were always available for a chat in between, as well as valuable information. The place for campers on the Kastanienhof, is located exactly between the donkey paddock, the chicken enclosure and the vegetable garden of the family. There you have plenty of space and in the evening you can wonderfully watch the animals. The hostess is super super nice and warm, she also likes to tell things about the farm animals. There is a small farm store where you can buy fresh eggs and cheese from the region in the morning. We will definitely remember this address!
Children and parents were delighted with the space, animals and Katrin's affectionate nature, we enjoyed the stay very much. It was a great start to the vacation and almost like 'free standing'.
Very friendly hosts, were always very nice and helpful. Bread roll service, electricity, water, Wc, small farm store, everything the camper heart desires! A real experience farm with animals and birds. We felt very comfortable, especially our little daughter. The numerous play opportunities were outstanding, the mud kitchen, ... that was the absolute highlight! Good starting point for excursions. We will be happy to come back!
Courtesy first. The hosts are warm, very sympathetic and we felt very welcome. Ztiat Katrin "we have no time for vacation, then we get the vacation with you to us". Despite the tasks on the farm is always time for a chat. But the stars are the animals. First and foremost the donkey and mule gang. Watching donkeys and co. from your bed, barbecuing between chicken coop and paddock, even electricity, sanitary and bread service...more is not possible. The farm is tidy and clean. Many, many thanks. We highly recommend Katrin and family.
Yes what to say? 😄😄100 points easy. Mega nice hosts who always have an open ear for their guests ,, very many offers on the farm,,, a nice little farm store,, many animals. Super great farm! Katrin and Frank are very loving and family-friendly hosts*. Highly recommended is the "animal encounter" with donkeys, chickens, sheep, rabbits and ducks and for our son it was the trekkers paradise :) We had two wonderful camping nights and days right in front of the donkey/mule paddock and can highly recommend it :)
