We—a woman and her dog—had a wonderful time on this small, green island. Gerhard and his family have created a little green paradise there and are very hospitable, which is especially evident in how they let us share their garden. It was very peaceful, and whenever people stopped by, they were so friendly. Communication with Gerhard was also so relaxed and friendly. The area offers great opportunities for walks and hikes. We’re leaving this place feeling recharged and would love to come back.
We had a wonderfully peaceful and great night at the campsite. The surrounding area is lovely to explore, and you can take a long walk through the vineyards. Pure nature! Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful little getaway; the fenced-in property was perfect for me and my dog—since the occasional walker with an off-leash dog would pass by. In the evenings, the deer and partridges would come out—it was wonderful, and the night was completely peaceful ❤️
An absolute hidden gem for anyone looking for peace and quiet who enjoys spotting deer, hares, and partridges while strolling through the fields and vineyards. This place is simply perfect for relaxing. We’ll be back!

Easy to find, very quiet, lots of nature, vineyards for walking, and animals to watch.
It’s a simple meadow in a quiet, pretty setting. This weekend, we saw more animals (deer, pheasants, hares, herons) than people (just two hikers). It was wonderfully peaceful! We didn’t use the property next door at all, but it’s very nice with a covered seating area, a grill, and a small stream. Communication with Gerhard was always quick and friendly!! Thank you so much 😄
A truly beautiful spot nestled among gardens and vineyards in the Rheingau. It’s the perfect place to relax for a few days in nature and wake up to the sound of birds singing. I stayed there for two nights, which gave me the chance to take a lovely short hike to Laurenziberg and Jakobsberg on one of the days. Gerhard was a wonderful host who always responded quickly and kindly to all my questions. Thank you so much for the lovely stay and for letting me enjoy both of your beautiful gardens.
We spent one night here in our tent and had a wonderful time. From the very beginning, communicating with Gerhard was extremely friendly and straightforward. The site has a very special charm and is a wonderful place to unwind and spend time in nature. The location is idyllic. There are also many practical amenities on-site that make for a pleasant stay. We were especially looking forward to the stream behind the property. During our stay, however, it was quite overgrown and therefore inaccessible. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Communication with Gerhard was quick and easy. The place is exactly as described and shown in the photos.
It was so lovely—we ended up staying an extra night. You’re completely on your own—every now and then a hiker or a horseback rider, or maybe a tractor—but after 6 p.m., it’s definitely perfectly peaceful. The lovely hosts, the Tools, are the absolute best 🥰 We’ll definitely be back—it was just perfect 🤩

Super cozy place for a self-sufficient adventure. Just vineyards, fields and meadows... In the fenced garden next door you can have a great barbecue. Everything was tip-top, I'll definitely be back.
A truly idyllic campsite in the middle of nature. Despite its quiet location, it is easy to reach. Very relaxed and restful. Absolutely recommendable!
