It was a really lovely, peaceful spot in Moorburg—a picturesque village setting surrounded by nature, complete with the sound of frogs croaking at night. The horse pasture was right nearby…and Hamburg Harbor felt close too. We felt right at home, and the tip from C&S about taking the ferry from Bubendey to the Landungsbrücken was worth its weight in gold 👍🍀

Everything there is just as described. The owners are very nice. We were satisfied and would love to come back.

The staff were super friendly. Everyone there is very helpful and approachable. A big thank you to Martin and Hartwig from across the street—even though we don’t know them personally. We’d be happy to recommend you to others 🫶🏻

A nice place with friendly neighbors

Everything was really great. Christina is an incredibly friendly and warm person who makes you feel welcome right away. I especially loved that I was invited to join her and her friends for a small Easter bonfire on my very first evening—it was a truly wonderful experience. I’d love to come back!

This is a cozy campsite in a rural village near Hamburg. It’s a great starting point if you’d rather not camp in the city center. One caveat for RV drivers: there are no waste disposal facilities—only electricity. Just keep that in mind beforehand. And if you’re arriving with a larger vehicle, let Christina know so she can reserve the front spot; otherwise, maneuvering becomes a bit tricky for vehicles over 6 meters long. For those with bikes and anyone looking for a nice, delicious brunch 7 days a week, I recommend the Weiss Bakery, 4.2 km away (a pleasant ride). No reservation needed—it’s big enough. You can also take a trip to Hamburg by public transit, or if you’re registered, by Miles car (the nearest location is 2–4 km away), or—for the sporty types—by bike. Have fun...🙌

We had a great time at Christina's place! The location is really quiet, yet close to the city center. The harbor is just a stone's throw away and is a great place to watch the ships. Even though Christina and we didn't meet in person, she always provided us with all the important information and tips for Hamburg. Her neighbor is as friendly as described and always up for a chat. We'd love to come back!

Nice little, green place in Moorburg, well located near Hamburg (almost) directly at the harbor. The hostess and her neighbor are warm, attentive and go out of their way. The cycle path to Hamburg leads through the industrial area, but is easy to cycle on and fast - overall absolutely recommendable

Christina is a friendly host who has thought of everything. The pitch is nicely furnished and the location is ideal for someone like me to have peace and quiet and yet it is quite cozy. From here you can be in Hamburg in 20 minutes by car. By bus/train in just over an hour.

Super nice, both the place and the contact!

On our way through to Denmark, this was our 2nd Hinterland campsite ever. We were not disappointed again!!! Super great explanation via video and nice WhatsApp, as well as live contact. ...the neighbor was happy about smalltalk and showed us his woodwork. You can see a lot from the campsite by bike or on foot. With this in mind, many thanks again to Christina, who knows maybe we'll see each other again sometime!

The communication with Christina is absolutely uncomplicated and prompt. The site is easy to find and very quiet. We had a restful night.

Easy booking, very good communication, a few explanatory videos for orientation, super nice reception, quiet place, great for visiting Hamburg by bike, everything wonderfully relaxed and easy. I even found 2 great vases at the festival/flea market 🤗. I would love to come back if I can. Best regards Thorsten

A beautiful, quiet pitch despite the proximity to the city and industry. The environment is surprisingly relaxed and invites you to switch off. The contact with the owner was very pleasant and uncomplicated. I spent two wonderfully quiet nights here - I'd love to stay again! 🚐

We were well looked after by the very nice hostess, even though we had unfortunately missed each other. The neighbors are wonderful and helpful.

A small village very close to Hamburg. If you're looking for simple accommodation surrounded by nature and don't need much comfort, this is the place for you. My boys enjoyed the campfire and playing in the small playground. They can also use the table tennis table. The neighbors were very helpful and nice. The P+R in Veddel is about 1/4h (parking fee 2 Eur/day), so the attractions of the Hanseatic city are also easily accessible.

We had a really great stay. The neighborhood is amazing and our hosts are lovely people. We felt very comfortable and are looking forward to another visit!

We were only here for one night as a stopover, but it was a wonderful place to come down after the long drive and recharge our batteries for the last leg of the journey home. The contact with Christina was always friendly and uncomplicated.

Everything was great, even though Christina herself wasn't there at the time. There were videos with explanations and we found everything. Please note: the dog also found boggy pools, perhaps as a warning to anyone who might walk their dog there without running water ;-) But found everything else beautiful!

Great idyllic place and close to the city at the same time. We were passing through and therefore only had this great spot for an afternoon & morning. We wanted for nothing - the kids looked for treasures, watched ponies and tamed stuffed horses, we got great insights into the work to preserve the moors (still in love with amore for the moors) and a great food tip. We would love to come back again.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to know Christina personally, but we got to know her great neighborhood and the wonderful place. And she was always available, even though she was ill. If you want to get to know a very special corner of Hamburg, you shouldn't miss it - it was worth it even as a Hamburg resident. Thank you and I would love to come back.

The place is in Hamburg and it feels like being in the country Quiet and no traffic. Christina is super nice and the communication was reliable. The neighbors are also nice and helpful. My next stay in Hamburg will be there again!

Christina was always very helpful and nice. You are welcomed here by the entire neighborhood. One neighbor provides the electricity and another neighbor was always helpful. The area is very quiet. Unfortunately we didn't have good weather and preferred to park further away. We would love to come back.
