Everything was great: extremely friendly hosts, a very nice campsite, spotlessly clean restrooms, and a very well-maintained farm. The horses, sheep, and cows kept the kids entertained all day long. And we were given wonderful insights and explanations about daily life on the farm. Thank you—we’ll definitely be back!
Hello Juliane, We are happy to write a short review after our stay at Soodehof 1. Basically we felt very comfortable. The farm is very well maintained, great sanitary facilities, a well-kept pitch and a lot to offer for children. In addition, the surroundings are fantastic and the service is really great and comprehensive, which was presented very nicely by the lady who showed us around. So there's really nothing to complain about here and I would recommend it to anyone. Nevertheless, our rating tends to be between 3 and 4 stars (it has now become 4, as we are of course aware that ratings always have a commercial influence. Nevertheless, we hope that any criticism is taken seriously). For us, the price catalog for the available "adventures" turned out to be too high. Prices above €30 for milking or farm tours are not appropriate in our view. We understand that there are of course costs associated with the respective service, but we think this is too high for families. It has to be said that we did not book any activities and therefore cannot evaluate the price/performance ratio, but the price alone was unfortunately too high for us. Perhaps you can find other ways to offer these great services in the future, such as group prices or similar. However, the above point of criticism is not so tragic, as this is communicated transparently and you know in advance that such costs can arise when using the service and you can decide for yourself whether to do it or not. The other point of criticism is the event location and the lack of a clear line between relaxation, tranquillity and farm life and the contrasting event concept. During our stay there was a party in the event location which was extremely loud until 2am. Please don't misunderstand, we have no problem with such parties or with the concept. But we booked the stay to have some peace and quiet and to escape this noise and hustle and bustle. If it had been made clear to us that an event was scheduled until late at night and that we could expect a restless night with our 6-month-old baby, we would have made a different decision. At this point, I would therefore ask that you inform future guests that an event is taking place on your farm and that the stay may therefore be somewhat different from the "vacation on a farm" character. We would like to emphasize that the positive experiences clearly outweigh the negative ones and we will be happy to come back, but we still think that these points should be addressed so that future guests consciously choose your farm and have exactly the vacation they expected afterwards. First of all: The place is very nice and you really have everything you need. So why only 3 stars? We had a different idea of the campsite. We thought it was a cozy farm and were surprised when we arrived that there were vacation guests everywhere. Juliane rents out various vacation apartments and small cabins in addition to the hinterland pitches. This made it really crowded and super noisy. Juliane herself was friendly, but rather short-tempered. We certainly didn't get that homely farmhouse feeling where you feel welcome. What a shame! We probably won't be coming back.
Very friendly hostess, perfect for children. Clean kitchen and sanitary facilities. We would gladly return.
Everything was great.
We had a great pitch on gravel right next to the playground. The toilets and shower were new and very clean - right next to the pitch. In the morning we had the opportunity to go for a short ride with a pony. Very nice hosts - highly recommended. Thank you very much.
Great place, quiet, right next to the playground. The kids had a lot of fun and you even get the bread rolls brought to the bus :) It couldn't be better

We spent a nice day and a quiet night on the farm and had a lot of fun with the animals. It was nice that we were allowed to look everywhere. The sanitary area for the campers is very nice. We would love to come back.

Nice pitch right next to the playground. We liked it very much. Communication was great.
We spent a great night at Juliane's with our dog and child. Everything was very well-kept, we were given a very friendly welcome and there was something for everyone: cows/calves/horses/sheep/large playground/ various tricycles or small pedal tractors for children/ soccer field with goals. Free-roaming, very friendly dogs who also got on well with our dog. Highly recommended with small two- and four-legged friends, even over one night 🙂 Gladly again!
The place was overcrowded and we felt unwelcome.
Very nice pitch with a view of the countryside and sheep. Well equipped with sanitary facilities, electricity, water and a dishwashing facility. Juliane is very accommodating and offers many activities. What you should know is that the friendly farm dog also comes to visit the pitch from time to time 😉
Very beautiful, well-kept farm with happy animals. You feel very welcome with children and can relax wonderfully. Highly recommended for horse lovers.

We had a really great time on the farm. Unfortunately, much too short. But will certainly come again.
We liked it very much, we were warmly welcomed and the pitch is wonderfully located in the greenery. The children had nice play opportunities (trampoline, climbing frame, football) and there were many animals to feed and look at. The sanitary facilities are good and a lounge is also available if needed. If you are there with the caravan, it may be that the tractor has to pull you back from the pitch to the road, this service offers Juliane's husband ;)
Lovingly designed facility. There is much for children to play and discover. Clean and new sanitary facilities. And nice and quiet. Nice farmer, Juliane we have not met but we believe it was her husband. Will be happy to come back on occasion.
Very nice place.
Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio did not fit. The kitchen could not be used by us at all, because it was rented to a company. A sauna use was also not possible. Unfortunately, this does not match the information on the platform. In addition, the site was overbooked with 5 or on one night even 6 campers instead of the stated 3 possible pitches. Fortunately, two campers could switch to a meadow due to the dry conditions. The location of the farm is very quiet and idyllic, the facility is very well maintained, which we liked. The children liked the animals very much. Another small tip: A personal welcome with short info and briefing would also be nice 😊
Positive: the place is partly paved, water and electricity included. Children can let off steam here. The possibility of hiking or biking are many. The toilets were always clean during my visits. Negatives: The paved site is limited but there is an adjacent meadow. The camper should not be longer than 7-8 meters, otherwise it will be tight. A possibility of gray water disposal is not available. If children are there, and the place is probably designed, you have no rest, because everything is very close together and then noisy. General: Parents should teach their children that animals also need rest and the freely accessible chicken house is not an egg-laying battery. Here, the operator should perhaps rethink his concept. I can not say anything about the showers, because I have not used them. Conclusion: We have booked here because we had a voucher, but 40 euros are absolutely not justified here from my point of view, so we will not approach this place again.
We have registered at short notice in the morning and were able to spend the evening on the very hospitable and lovingly managed farm. We were very pleased with the warm and very well maintained new sanitary facilities and the possibility to spend the evening around the campfire. Right next to the campsite graden sheep and goats. The other farm animals delighted the children, especially kittens and dog. As parents, we were especially grateful for the playground. This is how we imagine camping on the farm! We will be happy to come back!
Dear Juliane Thank you for the wonderful stay with you on the farm, it was for us a great conclusion of a three-week vacation. Vorallem it has us your dog angetan😅 What is still absolutely to mention is the top location, the peace, the animal and the sanitary facilities. Never had sooo a huge shower, for me alone😃 So, thank you ....ihr is really only recommendable👍
It was absolutely great. The farm and the surrounding area are definitely worth a trip. We were unfortunately only 24 hours on site, because we were passing through, but we will definitely be back. There are many activities for the children. Highly recommended.
Well, what to say..... First the positive: very nicely located and the sanitary facilities are very modern. Unfortunately, we had to break off our stay. But from the beginning: on arrival we were received by the girlfriend very nice, because the landlords tel. were not available and we came across them by chance. Was possibly due to the Hochzeitsgellschaft which was also on site. The day was very nice and everything was great. Unfortunately, the celebration of the society from eight o'clock really started. The music got louder and louder. Even at 1 o'clock at night was still not to think of sleep. We could not reach the landlords anymore. Would have been nice to be able to sleep at some point. We finally left shortly after 1 o'clock. This morning we found out why we couldn't reach anyone. The hosts have celebrated even at half past three with. Could be seen this morning in the WhatsApp status beautiful. In the end, there were only a few vacation greetings. No apology that we were forced to leave. In advance there was zero info that a celebration is and this will last long. If so, we might have saved ourselves the stay. We will ask for our money back.
We were only there for one night as a stopover with our caravan. We were greeted friendly and the site is located directly on the playground with a view also the paddock and a beautiful wildflower meadow. The children had a lot of fun. We were allowed to learn a lot about dairy farming and the children could milk. The sanitary was very neat and clean. I think you can find there also super several days of fun and relaxation.

Very great farm with very friendly owners! We can recommend the pitch without reservation! You stand between a paddock, a playground and a sheep or goat enclosure. Simply Top! The small farm dog came to visit us often. Clean sanitary facilities available. Our children did not want to leave. Great zoo (Sababurg) very close by.

Top pitch ! For our children never got bored and also for the adults it is very nice here. Horses, sheep, goats and cows. In addition, next door the forest. Pure nature. Juliane, the hostess, has an open ear for everyone and everything. Sanitary facilities clean and the common room super large and with a great kitchen. We will come again.
The location of the pitch is terrific for nature and horse lovers seeking peace and quiet. The site is located on a very family-friendly farm. Juliane and her husband take great care of their guests. Our daughter was allowed to take care of the ponies and also take a riding lesson. After a longer stay at a busy campsite, the two nights and days here were the successful balance with peace, beautiful nature and modern farm atmosphere.
Great camp location, right next to the farm. You can start hiking right from here. Juliane and her husband have made the facility super nice, they are helpful, open and super nice. What else can we say, everything just fit :) We especially liked that we were right next to the paddock. We will be happy to come again. THANK YOU!
Thank you for the great short vacation. For our son an absolute paradise with a great playground and especially the possibility to look at the cows and the other farm animals. The sanitary objects were top modern and always clean. We will definitely come back again.

Very nice hosts - Beautiful quiet location - Well maintained farm with top equipment - For children an absolute dream (horseback riding, tractor ride, cows, sheep, chickens, goats and two very family-friendly dogs) So beautiful and easy camping vacation can be. Love to a very great family.
Great pitch among horses, sheep and goats. Perfect with children and especially worth it if you stay longer. We really enjoyed our short stay with the hosts. A special highlight for the kids was the horse ride and the two cute dogs. Thank you Juliane for a wonderful time.

Friendly hosts. Beautiful property. Recommended with children. Reaching the sanitary facility is currently, due to construction work, somewhat difficult. The price is, if you just want to enjoy nature, in our experience, unfortunately too high.
Very nice hostess, in the middle of nature,very quiet and relaxing. Pitch on gravel with possibility of some grass, fireplace, Large playground and playground equipment.
There are sheep, goats, chickens, horses, ponies, cows, 2 dogs. Playground, soccer goals. A dog that can play soccer ;)) The farm is nicely secluded on a hill. Here you can ride horses, milk cows. Get eggs and fresh milk. Pitch on gravel or meadow possible.
