From stormy weather to sunshine—that’s how our weekend in the orchard meadow began... a warm welcome in writing and the fire pit we’d ordered already set up... the chirping of birds, the chirping of crickets, and hardly a car in sight... truly a place to unwind! This is exactly how we imagined a countryside campsite! A friendly host family, and P.S. Thanks for the tip about the koi pond!
A very nice, quiet place. The perfect starting point for exploring the Spreewald on foot or by bike. Thomas is an exceptionally courteous and friendly host. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back.

From the very beginning, communicating with Thomas through the app was warm, friendly, and completely hassle-free. We immediately felt like we were in good hands. The parking spot matches the app’s description exactly—everything is just as described and easy to find, which makes the trip there very relaxing. The lovely, handwritten note at the site deserves special mention. This small gesture adds a very personal and warm touch to the whole experience that really sticks with you. The surroundings are simply gorgeous—a beautiful little spot, perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. All in all, a thoroughly successful stay that I would repeat in a heartbeat. A very idyllic campsite in an orchard in a small village. Paying via the app was hassle-free. The owner, Thomas, is very friendly and brought us some brochures. We had a very peaceful night’s sleep and highly recommend this well-maintained site.

The communication was flawless. Thomas and his wife are very friendly and uncomplicated. As promised, we were able to find a natural spot here with our caravan. We found the absolute peace and quiet we were looking for here. We were able to explore the surrounding area by bike and car. We will definitely make a second pit stop here.

We spent a night at Thomas Genusswiese and enjoyed every second of it! Even the reception was very appreciative with a handwritten welcome on the pitch with information material about the region. The whole meadow is really beautiful and lovingly laid out, we had absolute peace and quiet in the middle of nature with lots of space to play with our children. The campfire in the evening right next to our camper (Thomas provided us with a fire bowl and wood) was of course fantastic. Thank you very much Thomas, we would love to come back!

we felt very comfortable. a perfect place to relax and unwind. nightingales accompanied us throughout the day, we even heard a hoopoe! pure nature. calau is only 2km away, with restaurants, bakeries, butchers and rewe, netto! many thanks to thomas, everything went smoothly!

There are 4 spacious pitches on a large meadow orchard. 3 have electricity. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. For me, an ideal starting point for a hike through the renaturalized lignite mining area. You have to take into account that there is no waste disposal, as can be seen from the description.
Unfortunately we only arrived in the evening. But that was no problem for Thomas. Everything was already prepared so that we could fall straight into bed. Thank you very much.
An absolutely recommendable place. Lovingly maintained and with a very nice welcome. Even last-minute extensions and reordering the fire bowl were no problem, and we were able to clarify this with Thomas without any complications. There is also a really nice playground nearby. There is electricity directly at the pitch and Thomas gave us a tip in advance about where to fill up with water. You can set off directly from there by bike through villages and forests and explore the Spreewald.
Many thanks to Thomas and his family. We were given a very warm welcome and wanted for nothing. There was also a folder with information material about the region. The meadow was nicely mowed, which our children were very happy about. Electricity and water are available if required. And the view and the peace and quiet are really lovely. Super nice place! We immediately extended our stay for another night because we liked it so much. Thomas goes to a lot of trouble and everything went smoothly. You can definitely enjoy a lot of peace and quiet here.

Absolutely recommendable! We booked very spontaneously for one night & spontaneously & easily extended one night. Thomas communicates very friendly, at the place was a dear greeting including information material. With the tailgate open we stood next to fruit trees with enough space to the neighbors, view of the paddock, starry sky incl., the calling of the cranes & a fantastic sunrise in the morning. The surrounding forest is beautiful and the nearby bicycle café is highly recommended. Thank you Thomas & family for pure relaxation!

This was our 3rd time at Thomas' Wiese and it won't be the last time;-) Absolute tranquillity in beautiful natural surroundings. Plus the friendly family service - a dream for self-sufficient campers.

The weekend on the meadow was super relaxing, the pitches are well maintained, the contact with Thomas and his family was super nice, electricity and plenty of information material was available on arrival at the pitch. Short-term water requirements were met without any problems. A walk or bike ride to Calau can be recommended. We would love to come back.

We thought: "just" a meadow ... but it is in such a beautiful place with a wonderful view, so we enjoyed it very much in the morning and evening and spent another night there ... :) The family was very friendly and personable.
We stayed there for one night in May. The place is simply wonderful! Nice and quiet and secluded. Thomas and his kids are absolutely friendly and helpful. The site is also really nicely prepared and invites you to relax. There was also a beautifully written little welcome gift. Our conclusion: 100% recommendable!

We had two great days with Thomas and his family on a meadow orchard. We had absolute peace and quiet so that we could switch off...very few cars drive past. We felt very comfortable here. Away from the hustle and bustle just right. We would love to come back...

We have stood super on the meadow of Thomas. He and his entire family are super warm, accommodating and great hosts. We got great information material about the area and the whole process in advance was super uncomplicated. The meadow is in a great location, very well maintained and invites you to stay. It is also a great starting point to explore the area by bike. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back.

A wonderful pitch, idyllic, absolutely quiet and at the right time there is even fresh fruit on the lawn :-). Is perfect to explore the beautiful neighboring villages by bike or on foot. The moated castle in Fürstlich Drehna is definitely recommended. Thanks to Thomas for this beautiful pitch.

Thomas and his family are super hosts. Arrived at the place waited beautiful a personal, handwritten welcome, along with information on excursions. On the meadow orchard we felt very comfortable. We especially liked the fact that the meadow was natural and the access road and the pitches were mowed. And a nice and pleasant chat with the host was possible. We will definitely repeat offenders!

We were guests of Thomas for 4 nights. A really great, well-kept place on a large, mowed meadow. Plenty of space between the 4 pitches. Short distance by bike to Calau with plenty of shopping and excursions. Small playground right next door. But the best was host Thomas. Same camper and you can tell. Thank you for electricity in a pinch, for firewood and bowl and that you provide such a nice place.... we will be back!

We found the place right away, as it was well signposted. A dear message from Thomas was already hanging on our power source. The place itself is very nice and quiet. We felt really comfortable. The small road in front you hardly notice, because really very few cars pass. Our highlight in the evening was the fire bowl which, well filled with firewood, can be purchased for 5 euros. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the right place. Unfortunately we could only stay one night, but enjoyed it very much. Thanks again and maybe see you soon. Daniela & Carsten
Very nice hosts, beautiful meadow with great views. The pitches are neatly sized and despite the nearby road it was very quiet! Also the good communication in advance and the provision of water and fire bowl gave us a very relaxed weekend. Only to recommend, who has no desire to standard German campsites, is here in good hands. Gladly again!
Thomas is a very warm host who welcomed us personally and provided us with info about the area. The place is fantastically beautiful, with a wide view in the direction of Calau. The road does not bother at all, you really have his peace in the middle of nature. The fruit trees provide shade to relax. And for those who value internet, the place has a super reception LTE and 5G. We will certainly come again.

Very nice host. The meadow is super nice, with a great view and absolute peace. The playground around the corner was used with pleasure. By bike is a clean lake with great swimming in about 45 min to reach. We will definitely come again!

Had a great few days with Thomas on the meadow! We, my girlfriend, our dog and I, were lucky to have the whole meadow for us and that in the Easter vacations... Since Thomas himself was away, we were very warmly welcomed by his son Richard. In addition, there was also some info and tips from him, what you can do in and around Calau. Top! We slept very well, at night the small road is almost never traveled. All in all, a perfect stay despite the mixed weather. We will be happy to come back again!

Fantastic infrastructure in terms of supply.everything in ,,reach,, 😜! Annoying fridge fill up before the trip is unnecessary because plenty of supermarkets in Calau to choose from. We were over Easter with him. The meadow was top maintained. Beautiful surroundings and very quiet. Thomas (the host) was very nice and even brought us maps of the area and sights. The pitches were nice and big and not so close together. In the summer it will be very very nice there.
