My name is Brigitte. I look after the Tiny House and our four white donkeys. I run donkey walks and creative workshops on our farm. I am always available for bookings and questions.

We really had a wonderful time with Brigitte and her family. There's so much to explore on the farm. The place is quiet, and the bathrooms are spotless. We felt very comfortable there. We highly recommend it!

The trip there went smoothly, and Brigitte gave us a very warm welcome! The bathrooms were modern and very clean, and the campsite was beautiful and spacious. We were lucky enough to meet one of the cats :)
A very nice, lovingly designed courtyard and parking spot surrounded by greenery. We felt very comfortable there!

We spent three wonderful and relaxing days at the Eselhof. The pitches are huge and very quiet. The sanitary facilities - two bathrooms - are very well maintained. We will definitely come back again.

In July, I had the good fortune to spend the night in the sunflower field with my roof tent! Brigitte is a very welcoming host, but you are on your own at the pitch. This is (as the description says) suitable for cars, vans etc., but it shouldn't be any bigger. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained and lovingly decorated.
What a great place!!! A warm welcome from host Johannes, Brigitte and the playful Labrador Cara. The spot in the middle of the sunflower field was just great. The donkey meadow was just a stone's throw away and could be seen from our sleeping area. Two very clean bathrooms were available for three campers. Overall, the farm is very lovingly cared for, charming and Brigitte and Johannes are lovely and obliging hosts.
Brigitte and her husband were very friendly and welcoming. We liked the place at the Sonnnenblumenfeld and enjoyed the peace and quiet. We would love to come back. :-)
We made a reservation with Brigitte at Klappboomshof at very short notice and were allowed to arrive with our caravan on request. The farm is in a very idyllic location between fields and the pitch offers a great view. The large trees provided shade from midday/late afternoon, which was a relief at 30° C. The site is very popular, so there were always 4-5 campers/tenters present, whereby we only had 2 direct neighbors with a generous distance, the rest were spread over the huge property. There are wonderful decorations everywhere on the farm, whether it's handwritten signs for the trees, decorations made from natural materials in the bathroom or the signs on the donkey meadow. Brigitte and her husband were very welcoming hosts who we would love to visit again. Cara, the friendly and curious Labrador dog, is practically the bonus program on the farm. She loves to visit us every day. The entire farm is supplied with well water (not certified as drinking water due to nitrate levels, we were told when asked). This should be taken into account. In Sonsbeck you can reach all the stores you need in about 3-3.5 km. In Xanten there is a wide selection of food and clothing stores lined up in the commercial area. The APX (Xanten Archaeological Park) is approx. 11 km away. Conclusion: A great place to unwind and go on excursions in the surrounding area.
Fantastic hosts 🌻. We felt very comfortable and really enjoyed the view of the donkeys. We even saw fireflies. There are two bathrooms with shower and toilet and a great fireplace. We would love to come back!
We stayed at the Klappboomshof with our tent trailer over Whitsun. The site is beautifully laid out with a view of the fields. We were warmly welcomed by Brigitte, Johannes and Cara (dog) and were always open for a chat. The bathroom is also very well maintained. We stayed at Klappboomshof for 2 nights and it was perfect all round. Very nice hosts, an incredibly great place in nature, great donkeys, dog and cat, very clean bathroom. The farm is wonderfully located in the countryside but within easy cycling distance, e.g. to Xanten. We will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the weather, but Brigitte and her husband gave us a very warm welcome. The donkeys and the many farm machines were a highlight for our children. Thank you so much for taking the time to show them to us!

The accommodation was in a sunny meadow right next to the white donkeys. We had the opportunity to use the modern washroom and toilet. Everyone was very friendly and we felt very comfortable.
I had a great time with Brigitte! She and her husband were extremely friendly and personable, which made me feel immediately welcome. The sanitary facilities were very clean, which I really appreciated. My campsite was right next to the donkey enclosure. There is also a high stand where you can make yourself comfortable and enjoy the surroundings. I can only warmly recommend staying with Brigitte!
My son and I really enjoyed our night at the Eselhof. Johannes and Brigitte were obliging and warm hosts. Watching the deer and stroking the donkeys were the highlights. The sanitary facilities were as described and super clean. Thank you for everything. 100% recommended.

Brigitte and her dog Clara gave us a very warm welcome. The area is very easy to explore by bike and the pitch is ideal for relaxing in the evening with a view of the cute donkeys!

We were able to choose a spot on the pitch next to the donkey meadow and were in a really good position. It was easy to walk to the bathroom and there were motion sensors at night, so you didn't need your own light. All the hosts I spoke to were super nice and helpful. I can only recommend it.
Beautiful, quiet pitch in the middle of the countryside. Brigitte and her family provided us with everything we needed: Fireplace, beer tent set and more. There is also a small store on the farm with donkey milk soap, wine and wooden slices. You can buy eggs directly from the farm nearby. The farm dogs are extremely friendly and also suitable for non-dog people. With the archaeological park in Xanten, the Niers (canoeing, rubber dinghy) and the Xantener Südsee (swimming, water skiing, climbing, etc.) there is also plenty for children to discover in the area. We would love to come back!
Very nice welcome and briefing. We booked at short notice and were still allowed to come. The pitch is idyllic and quiet. We were provided with electricity without any complications. The toilet and shower were clean and located about 100m from the pitch directly in the courtyard. We particularly liked the two old donkey ladies. We would love to come back and can recommend the pitch.

First of all, we had a very nice time at the Eselwiese and we will definitely be back. On our arrival we were greeted very warmly by Brigitte and Johannes and were shown the donkey store with shower/WC and our pitch near the donkeys on the donkey meadow. We were also able to go on a nice donkey hike, where we learned a lot about donkeys, and for the rest of the time we were given tips for excursions in the surrounding area. We simply loved our short vacation in this tiny house. The communication went smoothly and Brigitte and Johannes were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to really switch off there. A beautiful little house :) We would love to come back.

Brigitte and her husband are great, very sympathetic hosts who welcomed me very kindly. The place in the sunflower field was beautiful and I felt very comfortable. Great are also the clean toilet with shower. I can only recommend the pitch in the middle of a beautiful rural area.
We were kindly received by the hosts and after a short briefing had a quiet and relaxing time on the pitch, right next to two tame donkeys .
Here we were welcomed by the totally nice hosts directly on arrival. After a short tour, we were accompanied to the donkey meadow and could pitch our roof tent. The two donkeys (Beate and Bruno) are just a blast. Totally curious they observed our goings-on. When we wanted to watch the sunrise from our tent the next morning, the two were already standing in front of us at a distance of 2 meters and looked at us with their big eyes. Simply beautiful. We were warmly welcomed to the beautiful farm. The single pitch is wonderfully quiet between fields and meadows, a little away from the main building. Exactly what we were looking for! Door open, chairs out and enjoy. In the field of vision always the sweet donkeys to stroke close. Brigitte offers donkey walks and div. workshops on the farm. We found everything as described. Two great hosts who we gladly recommend!
