Very beautiful forest, great hosts, would love to come back

A secluded, idyllic farm with horses, sheep, free-range chickens and beehives - what more could you want? Gunnar is very friendly, authentic and uncomplicated. He likes to share his natural way of life with his guests. I was given a bottle of cider as a farewell gift and it was really good.

We had a wonderful time on this pitch! The site is super beautiful and in a very idyllic location, with lots of animals that make the whole thing even more special. It was especially great that you can make a campfire here - simply wonderful! Gunnar is incredibly kind and helpful, you immediately feel welcome. We would definitely love to come back and can highly recommend the campsite. :)

Very nice host and quiet location of the camp. There was enough space to set up a proper camp even with several people. The surroundings are very quiet and you can really switch off.

Once again, we had a great stay and were able to take a deep breath. One of my favorite spots for this. Pure tranquillity. There's enough wood around for a cozy campfire. That's all you need. Gunnar is a great host, contact was uncomplicated, very nice and always helpful. We (a couple with a dog) spent three nights there. The forest is characterized by an absolutely secluded location and we also had the pleasure of being alone in the camp (the second camp was not rented at the time - but even if it was, privacy is definitely secured by sufficient distance). Great bushcraft experience, we felt very comfortable and had great evenings for two around the campfire. We really enjoyed it. It certainly wasn't the last time we were there!

Gunnar is a very friendly host. You get everything you need at the pitch, plus beautiful surroundings with lots of nature. In the evening there were even fresh strawberries from the host. Many thanks to Gunnar for his hospitality.

Gunnar is a friendly, very uncomplicated host and lives on the plateau with horses, sheep, chickens, cats and dogs. The site is very quiet and idyllic.

We had a great time relaxing on the farm. Gunnar had prepared firewood for us. Electricity wasn't a problem either. We used the dry toilet (which we hadn't used before). But it's not a problem. We felt very welcome and for us it was the right place with all the great animals. Everything was also perfect for our dog. We would come again.

The host was super friendly and accommodating. Easy communication and quick responses at all times. The wooded area also highly recommended. From the edge of the forest you have a beautiful view of the countryside. There was more than enough wood on site, whether for a campfire or bushcrafting. Anytime again and highly recommended!

If you want to spend the night legally in the forest and at the same time try your hand at bushcraft, this is the right place, Gunnar the owner was super nice I can definitely recommend it.

Rustic place with lots of animals in the green. Campfire ambience top! It is more comfortable if you are completely self-sufficient with camper but also feasible with tent. Gunnar is very hospitable and a nice guy. 👍😀

The stay with Gunnar was our introduction to camping on a farm. And he set the bar very high. A beautiful, secluded place surrounded by fields and forest. The farm is run and designed very close to nature. We received a friendly welcome and were supported with every request.

Very brilliant place in a beautiful landscape, we felt very comfortable ! Ochsenhausen is reachable with a nice bike ride. The Ziegelweiher is ideal for swimming. Gunnar is very helpful and has good tips for guests.

We liked it super well with Gunnar. He lives totally idyllic on a farm with horses, 2 dogs, chickens and sheep. We have enjoyed our 2 nights in the teepee very much. We, that were 3 mamas with 5 children from 2 to 5 and our Indians felt really comfortable and at home. Gunnar is deeply relaxed and extremely helpful. We will certainly come again. It was an adventure for the 8 of us that we will remember for a very long time. Barbecuing in the tipi, falling asleep with an open fire, enjoying the sunrise through the roof opening and back to the roots - just our thing. Thank you Gunnar for your hospitality ♡

We have spent a wonderfully quiet week on Gunnar's farm. The area is super explorable by bike, the people extremely chilled, the starry nights clear and the yellow four-legged visit to the camper provides anyway for joy. Excursion destinations such as the castle Lichtenstein and Lake Constance are super accessible and on rainy days you can wonderfully crawl into the not far away spa. We say thank you for pure relaxation! (:

If you are looking for absolute peace and relaxation, Gunnar is the right place for you! Numerous hiking and walking trails lead directly from the farm. A small quiet pond is within easy walking distance and provides pleasant cooling for man and dog. The communication with Gunnar was pleasant. He was always available for a chat or tips for activities. On arrival there were directly freshly harvested strawberries in the orchard. We stood on the edge of a paddock behind the farm, where we occasionally got a visit from the 3 horses, Gunnar's 2 friendly dogs and the 2 kitties, who then kept a proper distance from our 4 dogs. We are already looking forward to the next time out with Gunnar!

Gunnar is a super relaxed host. The forest is great to try out freely. Huge amount of space, a safe fireplace and a dry toilet are available. We had a great time and will certainly come again.

Wonderful farm with lots of nice animals. Despite the really friendly and accommodating host, we had time for ourselves secluded by the fire. In the evening the cats accompanied us, the next morning we woke up with chickens and horses. Highly recommended :)

If you are looking for peace and quiet and a real time out, this is the place for you. Here you can enjoy nature and relax wonderfully, even in the evening around the campfire. And Gunnar is a super host.

Gunnar is very friendly and warm, we felt right at home. Up here is pure peace! There is a point deduction, because the site has nothing to offer and we were with our converted bus without electricity, water and toilet something very sparse on the road for ultimately then but 32 € / night. But we would come back at any time on the passage, just because of the friendly host and the very beautiful surroundings!

Always happy to do it again! Gunnar had everything prepared, even the fire in the teepee was already on - great when it's cold and windy outside. An absolutely quiet place, not visible by neighbors. With a little luck you can meet trusting farm cats, chickens and dogs. A super weekend - getaway. All roads and paths are also easily passable with a normal car. Absolutely recommendable!

Gunnar is a really nice guy with nem magical dog girl! The yard we found ehr not inviting, for one night ok, but vacation feelings came up with us not!

Gunnar is a really nice host, who himself enjoys life in the forest and wilderness. In his camp I gained great, new experiences about camping in the forest. My dog was also very welcome. Hope to see you again soon!

We felt comfortable with Gunnar. He is a sympathetic and uncomplicated host. His farm is located in perfect tranquility, surrounded by meadows and forests. An ideal starting point to explore the area on foot or by bike away from the tourist hotspots. Here camping is still fun!

Gunnar is a pleasant uncomplicated host. The spot is secluded in a small forest, when the sun shines through the trees in the morning it is a really casual feeling at breakfast.

The host was very nice, friendly and helpful. The place is great and the overnight stay in the Tippi, is a great experience. The location is fantastic. I can only recommend.

Beautiful place in a deciduous grove, Gunnar had already patiently answered questions in advance and contacted us immediately after the reservation. Highlight: When the fire was burning towards evening he came over with bike, dog and two beers. Very nice, pleasant guy. Spending the night alone in a (albeit in the case also small) forest is probably not everyone's cup of tea but in every respect a valuable experience ;-)

We had the privilege to be Gunnar's guests for 2 nights. Neither kids nor our dog could bring him out of the calm (definitely worth mentioning for me 😅). It was a great experience for all. I would have loved to stay longer. We will definitely come again 😊

The farm is a small imperfect, but therefore all the more charming spot. The place is fantastic with a view of the Alps. Gunnar is a very pleasant person, helpful and approachable. His special relationship with his animals on the farm is impressive. The chemistry was right and we will gladly come again.

The tipi is located at the end of the yard, wonderfully in the penumbra. The view and the silence are dreamlike. If you want to find peace, nature and inner peace, Gunnar Hof is the right place for you. Gunnar is an incredibly gracious host. We will be happy to come back!!!

A great stay. Really nice place on the meadow. Gunnar is a great person, very friendly. You immediately feel at home. We even got a fire bowl and wood so we can make fire right in front of the camper. Absolutely recommend! 🤩👍

More guests can expect a wonderfully quiet overnight stay. Quite fantastically beautiful between horses, sheep and wild meadows. Gunnar is totally nice and helpful and very sympathetic. Certainly not our last overnight stay there.

Everything was as described, the area is beautiful, as well as the forest itself, the host himself is also very friendly and also flexible with arrival times. The car can be parked directly at the forest, which you can easily find with Google Maps. Gladly again.
