We wanted to spend a night at the ostrich farm and were supposed to let them know shortly before our arrival. Twenty minutes before we arrived, we sent an email, rang the doorbell, called out, honked the horn, and made phone calls. No one answered. After a quarter of an hour, we drove on. About 20 km further on, we got a call—our host was completely flustered! I told him, “We drove on.” He’s fine!!! The pictures don’t match reality.
We stopped here for one night on our way through, staying in our rooftop tent. It was nice, clean, and hassle-free. We’d definitely come back.
Quiet location - restrooms available - interesting animals
We had a wonderful time there. Lots of animals, friendly camping neighbors, and a lovely host family who always made sure everything was in order and took great care of their guests. The ostriches are, of course, something special—not something you see every day. The area is very beautiful, with plenty of peace and quiet and a stunning view, and we highly recommend the natural swimming area in Freystadt. For the singing roosters in the coop, you might want to pack some earplugs…if you don’t already have them with you. We’d love to come back anytime!
We really enjoyed our stay—the hosts were lovely, there were lots of animals around, and the campsite is a great starting point for biking and hiking trips. We’d love to come back 👌🏻
Everything's okay
Thank you very much for letting us stay with you. Here you can actually find everything you need at a fair price. Everything was very clean.
Difficult in wet weather as we could hardly get out because the meadow was very wet. But otherwise really nice with the animals. You have to walk along the main road to get to the ostriches, but the animals are really exciting. There is a toilet and lots of cockcrowing. But very nice for an overnight stay with children.
We had a lovely stay. Despite our unplanned very late arrival, we received a very friendly welcome. There are many animals on the farm. Thank you very much for the nice conversations about the animals and their way of life.
A very nice little site with lots of animals. It is very good that the pitch is fenced in and our dog could run free in coordination with the other campers. Toilets are available and clean. Very nice hosts. I can definitely recommend the site.

We were very satisfied with the campsite. The restrooms were spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Everything we needed for a pleasant stay was provided. We were particularly impressed by the large number of animals in the area. The quiet at night was also exceptionally restful.

Good pitch for a short stay. We stayed here for 2 nights with 2 small children. The pitch is well suited for a stopover. Nice hosts, small sales hut, toilets are okay.

Friendly, uncomplicated and reserved host. The site is beautifully situated scenically. Everything clean except for a few occasional dog piles in the camping area. Clean sanitary facilities. Animals are close by and can be viewed at the fence (peacocks, rabbits, goats, ponies). No petting zoo. The lovely cat, a few chickens and the two dogs occasionally drop in on the place. We would come back at any time.

We were received in a friendly manner. It was very nice, everything uncomplicated and simple. The owners of the farm have an open ear for their guests, even a nice conversation was possible. We will be happy to come back again.

Super nice host and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere at the ostrich farm! We were there for the second time and we liked it very much this time too. The area is beautiful with interesting destinations. Ideal for cyclists and hikers!

We had a quiet night here. The surroundings are very nice and Harald is a friendly host.
We arrived in the dark and were warmly welcomed and briefed by Harald. The next morning then the great view into the distance and many animals to marvel at. Electricity, water, toilets, everything available. Have enjoyed the stay very much, gladly again!

Very quiet accommodation. With proper toilets and a great sanctuary for animals.
Nice host and a nice pitch on a meadow. The toilet container was absolutely clean and appealing. Electricity is completely uncomplicated to have for a small fee. The ostrich farm / living farm is a super destination with close contact to the animals and ideal to make great bike trips. We did it extensively and visited the towns in the area. It was a very nice stay and Harry is very nice and always has time for a Ratsch. We will be back, we liked it very much and there is still much to see.
Super warm & nice host with a really nice pitch. Toilets were also top! Unfortunately, we were only one night there and in this time it has rained a lot. The farm is a great destination to make a short stopover:)

Very nice, quiet pitch with super nice host with direct view of the ostriches. In between visit from cat, dog and chicken. 😊 Cold drinks in bottles you can also buy. We liked it very much.
A really great site with animal wake-up service - instead of the morning cockcrow it is here somewhat more exotic animals, but do not worry - the sleep also rather times and wake up rarely before 8 o'clock ;). We liked it so much that we stayed there for several days and for the little daughter it was a rather exhausting farewell to say goodbye to all the little animals, combined with the desire to come here again soon. Harald himself is a totally nice guy with whom you can hold one or the other interesting chat and also learn a lot about the farm and the environment. Upon arrival, there was a small round of the farm, chilled drinks and a pitch all to ourselves on which we could also put up an additional tent without any problems. We like to come back - whether for the passage or again for a few nice days.

We were very nicely welcomed and felt very comfortable. After we made a tour of the premises and met the ostriches behind the fence at eye level, we took another tour to Freystadt, which is worth seeing.
Has everything worked out great beautiful meadow with beautiful view of the animals. Cuddly cat and very quiet at night. We come back with pleasure.

I felt very comfortable! Chilled drinks were also still available, although it was already after 20:00. Super! In the evening, the animal roommates also come to rest, so we could start again wonderfully rested. Thank you!
