This was our second time here, and as expected, everything went smoothly again. It was wonderful once more. 😊 Dealing with Johannes is always easy and friendly. If you have a question or need something, he’s easy to reach and you get a response right away. We’ll definitely be back!
We had four wonderful days in Johannes’s lovingly landscaped garden. It was like our own little world. The dogs and we really enjoyed our time there, and we had everything we needed. The surrounding area is really nice, too, and everything is within easy walking distance. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks, Johannes, for this chance to relax :)
An absolutely peaceful, spacious spot and a completely hassle-free trip there!!! We felt super comfortable! The highlight is the sauna, followed by a dip in the river or a shower to cool off!!! The fire pit is great, too!!! We'd love to come back!!!!
Yes, I would definitely recommend Johannes. Communication was prompt, friendly, and really excellent, and the campsite was exactly as described. A truly great spot with great attention to detail! All in all, a very pleasant stay with a fantastic host!
A little piece of paradise on Earth! 🌿❤️ For us, it was an absolutely perfect weekend in a very special place. The beautiful nature, the tranquility, and the idyllic surroundings captivated us right away. Our absolute highlight was the hot tub—whether in the evening to relax under the open sky or in the morning for a cozy, warm soak in the midst of this magnificent natural setting. Simply wonderful ! 🛁🌲 Sitting on the cozy bridge over the stream, we were able to unwind and take in the beautiful natural scenery. Moments like these are exactly what make a stay so special. We would have loved to stay much longer—you really don’t want to leave here! 😊 A huge thank you also to our super-friendly host, Johannes. We felt very comfortable and welcome right from the start. For us, it was a perfect weekend and a wonderful getaway. We’d love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
At Johannes' place, you can really slow down : )) Rain or shine, we had the perfect starting point for exploring the Dahn Rock Region. After a hike, a sauna session, a hot pot, and a dip in the stream—what more could you ask for! Take it easy on a Dutch bike to go shopping in the little town of Dahn or for a swim at the Badeparadis. I booked Johannisplatz for a Viking weekend in Dahmen, and the service was fantastic from start to finish—they were very responsive and friendly. The place is truly one-of-a-kind. I’d love to come back.
We booked this spot just to unwind. It’s really peaceful there. There are plenty of places to go for walks in the area. The site itself has a shower, a composting toilet, a sauna, a hot tub, and a cooking and seating area. The campsites are very spacious, and electricity is available here as well. We felt very comfortable there. However, we did find the price for one night a bit too high.

Great, hassle-free booking and communication. Beautiful, spacious grounds. New and well-equipped outdoor "kitchen" and seating area. The stream and outdoor shower are very refreshing.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful; the campground is a dream, and the other campers were all so nice. Johannes was always available and very helpful. Thank you so much for everything!

We’ve spent a few really wonderful days here, and to be honest, we’re a little sad that we have to move on already. ❤️ A beautiful, little spot surrounded by nature, incredibly peaceful and with a very special atmosphere. It was exactly this mix of nature, privacy, and little highlights like the sauna and hot tub that really won us over. You can tell that a lot of love and passion has gone into this place. We felt right at home from the very beginning, and one thing is already certain for us: We’ll be back! 🥰 Thank you for this wonderful getaway—and see you very soon!
We (6 women) had a truly wonderful time. Plenty of space and peace and quiet, right next to a beautiful, cool stream where we could cool off, and surrounded by nature. The sauna and hot tub really enhanced this peaceful spot. There’s also a covered cooking and dining area, as well as a dry toilet and a shower with cold water 💦 from the stream. A lovely little adventure that we really enjoyed. We traveled there with a camper and tents and had plenty of space. Johannes responded quickly and kindly. Thank you for that.
Perfect location. Easy to communicate. Norwegian sauna... not very inviting, in our opinion. For the price, they could at least provide a trash can. Everything else is fine, and it's super quiet.
A little oasis of peace surrounded by nature. Woken by the mooing of the cows grazing on the other side of the stream. An absolutely perfect place to relax if you love the camper life but also want a little luxury. It feels just like home. Getting there is super easy, the site is clean, and the water is crystal clear. The host is super friendly and flexible. I’ll definitely be back.
We had an absolutely fantastic weekend at Johannes’s property! If you’re looking for a break from everyday life, this is the perfect place: The property is stunningly beautiful and in a wonderfully peaceful location. We were able to enjoy our time to the fullest and just let our minds wander.

It was really nice at the campsite. Aside from the noise from the hotel at the other end of the valley—which wasn't the host's fault—it was very peaceful and quiet there. We really enjoyed our two days there.

Great location and a wonderful host. Johannes doesn’t just make this lovingly maintained spot in nature available—he also goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. 🙏 We stayed there for three nights and didn’t want to leave. There’s a dry-separation toilet, and the waste is very easy to dispose of in the compost bin next door. We didn’t use the sauna or hot tub. Instead, we went right into the Wieslauter River to splash around. Johannes even installed a small shower on the property (using water from the stream). The perfect way to cool off. The only thing is that the ground is very soft in places. Be careful not to get stuck, especially when it’s damp. 😉 We were on the property with a campervan and a trailer and had no trouble maneuvering. There was also an Urban Camper parked with us. It’s easy to miss the entrance. Just drive all the way to the sewage treatment plant, and you’ll see the gate to the property.

This is a special place that really exceeded our expectations - which were already high from the description and pictures. To set the context, my husband and I were the first to stay at Johannes’ little bit of paradise, and the weather/season (late April ‘26) was perfect! We booked last minute, when we saw the weather should be good. We had exclusive use of the site. Communication with Johannes was fast and very personal. The site is spacious with many opportunities for setting camp in the sun or the shade, by the river or secluded under the fruit trees if you prefer. What is not so obvious from the pictures and description is that this ‘edge of town’ plot is not only green, natural and park-like, with the luxuries of a hot tub and sauna, but is also bordered by a really beautiful river - complete with a deck giving access to the river for a cold plunge after a hot walk or sauna! We usually look for unsophisticated and secluded campsites for our Land Rover Defender with roof tent. The compost toilet was very good, a must for us. The hot tub was a luxury we didn’t really need, but absolutely loved, with the fresh cold spring nights/mornings. Johannes had made sure the fires in the efficient rocket stoves were well laid, so that it was a super easy process to heat them up and learn timing for the next night. In the early evening we were treated by chatty ducks and bats flying back and forth. The area around Dahn is amazing, with walks amongst the Felsenland rock formations easily accessible from the campsite. Being within the Natura2000 area, it is beautiful. There are nature trails (and Biergarten) within easy reach, a highlight for wildlife fans like us are the lynx and wolf trails nearby in Im Schneiderfeld giving some interesting insights into the habits of these species. We really recommend this gem, if you’re looking for a peaceful, green oasis with the option for some added luxury!
