A beautifully wild property. Located next to an old mill, with a beautifully landscaped garden, lots of charming little touches, and right on the river to boot. André is also a really pleasant host. Plus, there’s unspoiled nature and great hiking trails nearby. Simply a paradise :)
I arrived by car with a rooftop tent. There’s a parking spot right by the Sieber River on Andre’s property. Ducks and chickens roam around his yard, and the sound of the river lapping gently makes it a wonderful place to unwind. You also have the option of hiking to the Großer Knollen from there (round trip approx. 10 km). I really enjoyed my stay with Andre, and he’s great to chat with.

The friendly host gave us some hiking tips. A quiet spot with a unique vibe. A great starting point for hikes or bike rides.
Camping at an abandoned site. That was really special. There were only 3–5 other campers on the grounds besides us. It was nicely spread out. We had a spot right by the stream—not ideal for those sensitive to noise, but a dream come true for us! The kids had a blast! Thanks, Andre!

Everything's great
The place is really beautiful, quiet and in the middle of nature - perfect for switching off. Everything has been lovingly and creatively designed: the lighting, the art objects and the rustic ambience make your stay something very special. Our arrival was a little difficult. We had announced our arrival time in advance and had already asked if there was firewood. Nevertheless, André seemed rather surprised when we arrived. After ringing the bell several times and waiting around 30 minutes, someone finally came - in the meantime we looked for a seat ourselves, which was fortunately fine. The reception seemed a little disorganized overall, and André was rather unenthusiastic when we asked for firewood (perhaps also due to the rain). A little tip: it's best to bring your own firewood. We paid €20 for half a wheelbarrow, about a third of which was just bark and not suitable for making a fire. Overall, a very beautiful, special place - close to nature, quiet and creatively designed, but with drawbacks in terms of organization and communication.
If you like pure nature plus a lost place, this is the place for you. Super nice host and top location in a deeply cut valley directly on the river. Probably not for fancy people, but for us the absolute top location. Best regards, Marcus & Robin
Best place to be! Space forgets time: listen, look, listen, let in, let out. Less is more and more than enough and better is not possible! Out of time/ timeout at its best.

The accommodation was as described - almost a bit of a campsite atmosphere as there were lots of campers there that weekend - very idyllic location :-)
Super nice and quiet place, perfect for experiencing nature and recharging. André is very accommodating and helpful. We had a great time!
We were at this special place with our motorhome and our 2 dogs. The term "paradise" couldn't be more appropriate. If you're looking for peace and quiet in the countryside and like unusual details, you'll find everything you need here - except a cell phone network... but that's nice too ;-) You can start hiking straight from here. To top it all off, André is a host who you can tell puts his heart and soul into everything he does. His pleasant and warm manner makes you feel welcome.
We only stayed in André's paradise for one night, but we already know that we will definitely be back. Idyllically situated in the middle of a nature reserve and with a river flowing through it, there is a lot to discover on the site and beautiful places to linger. We were practically right next to the river and were able to fall asleep to the sound of the water :) A clear recommendation!
The Hinterland Camp "Paradies im Siebertal" in Herzberg an der Sieber was not just a weekend trip, it was an experience. This place is remote, mystical, incredibly atmospheric and took us completely out of reality. The pictures online don't even begin to show what you can really expect there. Abandoned old buildings with a real lost place feeling, a quietly babbling brook right next to it, subtle warm lighting that creates an almost magical atmosphere at night. You feel like you're in another world. Spooky, but in the most beautiful way. We had the feeling that we had discovered a secret place that hardly anyone knows about. You can feel how much character this place has at every turn. The welcome was very friendly, the atmosphere intense and calming at the same time. A bit like a home in the middle of the wilderness. If you're looking for a place that gives you goosebumps in the best sense of the word, brings you completely down and makes you feel like you've landed in a movie, then you have to come here. Thank you for this experience. We'll be back. In the fall at the latest. Maybe in the fog.

Beautiful pitch in a quiet, natural location right by the stream. Ideal starting point for varied hikes. André was very helpful and showed us our pitch.
A super nice guy with whom you can have a great chat and who is extremely helpful. The place is beautiful and full of details that make the stay more exciting. All in all, simply worth a recommendation.
It is a beautiful place in the middle of nature. We pitched our tent right next to the little river, sat around the campfire in the evening and really felt like we were in paradise. André is a great host, everything was very uncomplicated and relaxed. We can only recommend it and will definitely be back.
