We had a good rapport and a nice time. The view of the lock and all the ships is something different. The free ferry across to Brunsbüttel South is of course not bad.

We spent a night at Hanna's place while passing through Dithmarschen. We received a very warm welcome. She responded to our questions and needs. Despite the storm, we had a peaceful night at the campsite. From the campsite, we could watch lots of ships entering and leaving the lock. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much.
Hanna gave us a very friendly welcome as soon as we arrived. We were able to choose a spot on the large lawn and stood there on our own. From there you have a view of the locks and the shipping traffic.
Standing right next to the Brunsbüttel lock and watching the huge ships at close range was a real highlight - we could hardly get enough of it. The well-kept green area invites you to linger, and the beautiful surroundings are wonderful to explore by bike. Whether sitting comfortably by the water or going on short tours - everything is just right here. We had five unforgettable days and will definitely be back.
Simple pitch on a meadow right next to the Brunsbüttel lock. The view of the harbor and the lock is very good and you can watch the ferries. Very short distances to the pier. Many thanks for a very nice stay.
