A wonderful stay at the edge of the Harz Mountains. Goslar and Bad Harzburg are nearby and offer interesting insights and beautiful views. I have never experienced camping so relaxed. We were very warmly welcomed by the hosts, although the term host family fits better. Immediate help was at hand with any questions and they wanted to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The only drawback was the bus connections and operating times of some sights. As a tourist, you didn't have the feeling of being particularly wanted, which was mainly due to poor information or bus routes not being listed. The big excitement was the huge construction site on the Hexentanzplatz in Thale, which you only learned about after you had taken the cable car ride uphill. The campsite and also the apartments in "Harz Valley" I would recommend at any time, but would also suggest that it degenerates into heavy organization without mobility, where you can not quite trust the information.
The property is behind the house with a beautiful on the landscape and a very nice sunset. We also got some wood for a campfire from the very nice hosts
