The surroundings, with the fields and access to the lake, are truly beautiful. 🌿 The lake, however, is a natural lake—you have to like that sort of thing. We found the layout of the campsites a bit disappointing. Designed for three campers on a relatively small grassy area, they’re very close together—sometimes only about two meters apart (when the site is full). In the photos, it looks much more spacious than it actually is on-site. In addition, the path that many guests of the vacation village use runs right next to the campsite. As a result, there’s quite a bit of through traffic and little privacy. Overall, it’s a beautiful setting, but you should be aware that the campsites themselves are quite cramped and busy.
The place looked just like in the pictures. Everything was clean. We can recommend it.

A beautiful, green, and peaceful spot right there at the Schneidemühle, with a great campsite near the farm, and hosts who make you feel truly welcome—just like you’re visiting good friends. Many thanks to Alexandra & Volker for your help and hospitality over the past few days. It was great getting to know you, the other guests, and the “locals” this weekend. ✌️😊 Warm regards from father and son in Hamburg and Berlin
