We found Andrea and Josef to be incredibly nice, friendly, and welcoming hosts. Leo, the farm dog, is also absolutely friendly toward both people and other dogs. The campsite is in a quiet location and offers a great view. There’s a lounge with suggestions for day trips and a small bar serving homemade liqueurs and schnapps, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. The restrooms inside the building are exceptionally clean, and the shower room is very cozy—where else can you suck on candy while taking a shower? :) A hiking trail runs right past the campsite, so you can start hiking right away. Even though the final few kilometers of the drive were a bit of an adventure for us flatlanders and caravan newbies, it was definitely worth it. We really enjoyed our time off at Hölzlleberg and can wholeheartedly recommend the farm without reservation!
The narrow access road is a bit of an adventure, but it’s easy to navigate with a smaller trailer (it’s a bit trickier with XXL trailers, but still doable). The site itself is simply wonderful—with a fantastic view and absolute peace and quiet. The showers and restrooms were consistently very clean. The hosts are incredibly warm and always happy to help. A great bonus: You can set out on fantastic hikes right from the campsite without having to drive anywhere. And the owls hooting at night were the icing on the cake. A real dream! The farm dog is super sweet and keeps his distance if you want him to; we had absolutely no problems with our dogs. Highly recommended!!!
Andrea and Josef are incredibly warm and welcoming to all their guests—everyone is greeted personally, and they take a keen interest in how everyone is doing. The drive there follows a very narrow, single-lane road on a hillside that’s about 1.5 km long, with few places to pull over—so larger vehicles will need to plan ahead. Here on the Hölzleberg, you have a great starting point for hiking, since your RV is parked right next to a hiking trail. From here, you can enjoy a wonderful view. If you’re traveling with a dog, please note that Leo, the farm dog, lives here and likes to stop by and say hello to the campers. We tried the homemade schnapps and thought it was excellent. We were even allowed to help ourselves to hand-picked pears from Josef’s storage—we’ve never eaten such delicious pears. Our honest feedback reflects only our personal impressions: We wouldn’t choose this campsite again due to the hiking trail that runs right past the camper, the farm dog that roams freely, and the single-lane access road. Without a dog, with a smaller vehicle, or as a starting point for hiking with the option to rent a small vacation apartment, definitely—but for us, with a large camper and two dogs, it just wasn’t as ideal as we would have liked.
The drive to the campsite through the vineyards is absolutely gorgeous. The site is quiet, and you have a great view all the way to Alsace—it’s especially beautiful in the evening. Josef and Andrea were very friendly and were kind enough to accommodate us when we had to leave early. Thank you so much

We stayed with Andrea & Josef for two days. They’re both really super nice! The campsite is truly a dream. Absolute peace and quiet, a large pool to cool off in, and very clean and beautiful restroom facilities. There’s also a common room where you can do the dishes. The view and sunsets from Josefsbrunnen (a 5-minute walk away) are absolutely stunning! You can buy chilled drinks there. And of course, we have to mention the delicious local schnapps! We’d come back anytime!

We had the pleasure of spending four wonderful days at the Hölzleberg vacation farm, enjoying stunning views and even more beautiful sunsets. The bathrooms are spotless, and the refreshing pool is fantastic! The highlight was Leo, the farm’s sweet dog, who kept us thoroughly entertained. Thank you, Andrea and Josef, for your warm hospitality.
A truly beautifully situated spot, It has everything you need, There’s electricity, there’s water. There’s a shower and a beautiful pool. There’s a really great hiking trail and plenty of sights worth seeing in the immediate vicinity. The two hosts are really friendly and happy to offer tips and advice, and they show you how everything works and where everything is located. We definitely want to give them another big shout-out—it’s simply beautiful. Simply top-notch and brilliant.

Andrea and Josef are very welcoming hosts. Firewood delivery service by quad bike to the pitch. Very well-kept guest bathroom and washing-up facilities. The view from our pitch with a view and our own fireplace was brilliant. We would love to come back, we felt very comfortable and relaxed in the wonderful peace and quiet. Great horned owl calls at night included, just great;-)
We felt very comfortable with Andrea and Josef . We had wonderful days on their farm with a wonderful pitch and view! Everything was great all round 👍 from the sanitary facilities to the excellent schnapps. We would love to come back!!!

Our stay with Josef in the Black Forest was simply great! If you are looking for peace, nature and authentic hospitality, this is the place for you. Josef gave us a warm welcome and offered us lots of great opportunities: We were allowed to watch schnapps being distilled - which was super exciting - and had the opportunity to make a campfire. We also had access to a shower/WC and a sink, which made the camping experience very pleasant. The path to his farm is long and narrow, but that's what makes the place so charming. Anyone who loves seclusion and longs for true relaxation will appreciate this place. Surrounded by meadows, forests and absolute tranquillity, we were able to switch off wonderfully. Thank you, Josef, for your hospitality - it was a special time with you that we won't soon forget!
We had a wonderful stay with Josef and Andrea. The driveway is narrow, but easy to manage with a VW Grand California (6 m). The view and the sunset are a dream. Josef and Andrea are very friendly and helpful. The recreation room with sink and Duplo box (!) saved us on the day with constant rain. Thank you very much!
Friendly and nice hosts. Pure nature. Ideal for hikes in the surrounding area. We had two mobile homes to ourselves. Fire bowl on site. We would be happy to stay again.
Wonderfully situated place, nice reception, everything was perfect. Location directly on the hiking trail and therefore a great starting point. It's also nice that you can use the kitchen in the main house! Thank you very much and we would love to come back!
