We felt right at home, everything we needed was there. Electricity, water, toilet, fire pit and wood. Communication was excellent and the wild boar disaster didn't bother us in any way. Incidentally, it is a beautiful hiking area. Thank you Max...., we would gladly come again.

We had a wonderful time at Max's. The fire pit with grill is great and very relaxing. Max also visited us and made sure everything was okay. Depending on when you're there, there may be shooting practice at the shooting range. But that didn't bother us much. The place is a great starting point for hikes. There are beautiful trails and several huts nearby where you can enjoy Palatinate cuisine. Thank you very much for the wonderful break!
Max is a super nice host with a great pitch. We were there with two campers and had a lovely evening around the campfire. The surrounding area is also great for walking or cycling. Highly recommended. We will be back again!

Max is a great host who is always available and sends helpful information in advance, the site is well located with direct access to beautiful hiking trails and 2 places to stop for refreshments. Unfortunately, we had a group of eight people who sat directly behind our camper and we were forced to repack. Consideration is not everyone's thing...Max can't help that, but it detracted from our overall experience. I would therefore give it 4.5 points, if there were any, because it wasn't quite so quiet and peaceful, at least for one day.
Everything was great! 👍 We will definitely recommend the pitch to others. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again! We were even given croissants for breakfast on the day of departure, a big thank you again 😊 See you soon and all the best 🤗

Great place in the Palatinate Forest. You get all the info for the place in Whatsapp as a video. If you have any questions, you can reach Max at any time, super uncomplicated and very nice. It's great that there is seating on site, a barbecue, a great big fireplace, toilets in the Schützenhaus and electricity. I can only recommend it. A big thank you to Max.
Four of us traveled with two children and had a great time at Max! You could hear the street next door a bit in the evening but it didn't bother us. The nearest town with a supermarket is not far away. Max and Juna are great hosts - always available and eager to make us feel at home.

We stayed with Max for the 2nd time. He is a great host and always ready to help if you need anything. The meadow is huge with a large central tree that provides shade, there is a walled fireplace with a beer bench and table set and you can also use the toilets in the adjacent Schützenhaus. Access to the meadow is easy with a caravan or motorhome.

Very nice pitch in the countryside with a view of the forest and meadow! Despite their age, the toilets are clean. Electricity is available via the cable drum provided at the pitch. Max is a nice and well-organized host. All important information was provided by message or video via WhatsApp. We liked it so much that we immediately extended our stay. We would love to come back.

We booked a pitch through Hinterland for the first time. We really liked the pitch and Max. The good accessibility and the spacious meadow on which you can barbecue and even make a campfire is nice. Also very pleasant is the possibility for campers, who are dependent on toilets due to lack of equipment, to use the toilets in the neighboring Schützenhaus. There is also an outside power socket. We didn't need this with our vehicle, but it's very good to know about the possibility. The site is also ideally located for hiking in the Palatinate Forest. The icing on the cake: Max was at the campsite in the evening, asked if everything was OK and referred us to his cell phone number and availability just in case. That's as good as it gets. Super nice host. We found everything as described. The pitch and the toilets were clean and well maintained. You can start wonderful hikes of all conceivable lengths and levels of difficulty directly from the pitch. We will definitely be back soon!
Everything exactly as described and even better. Lots of space, perfect location for hiking, good information, campfire under the stars, so much fun! You shouldn't be extremely sensitive to noise, because the road is close by, but with an earth wall and behind trees it's not an issue even for me, at night there's nothing going on anyway. So full marks from me, gladly again!
I would actually like to keep this insider tip to myself. The spacious site is right next to the forest, there is a Palatinate Forest hut nearby, beautiful area for hiking, campfire in the evening with the option of meeting nice people, Max is super nice. Full marks

We spent 2 relaxing days on the meadow at the edge of the forest. Only a short walk to the start of the Arius tour. An ideal starting point for hikers. Max is also a great host! Many thanks :-)
We had a great time. Sat around the fire and barbecue a lot when we weren't hiking. Everything was as described. Info & contact super nice. Thanks for the firewood! Tip: think about a solution for a hot shower, no hot water.
Wonderful pitch right on the edge of the forest and very nice host. Perfect for anyone with a dog, for hiking, trail running and mountain biking. We will definitely be back. With my Klarmobil contract I unfortunately had almost no reception, so I would recommend everyone to download their hiking tours in advance.
We were there with two campervans, a VW bus including four people and three dogs. Great place in the middle of the Palatinate Forest. Meadow on a private property. Undisturbed for us alone. A paradise for the dogs. The fireplace is fantastic 🤩 We spent three wonderful evenings by it. We gratefully used the barbecue provided and ate like God in France 😉 On the first day, we walked to Lemberg Castle. The next day we walked to Lemberg and from there took the 250 bus to Dahn to hike to the castles of Neu- and Altdahn as well as some rock formations. The next day, we walked the Arius Tour around Ruppertsweiler from the campsite. Not far from the campsite is the Kanzelfelsen and the Starkenbrunnen and Beckenhof hiking inns with great beer gardens. Max is a really great and attentive host. Always available and we had fresh croissants to say goodbye 😋🤩 Best regards!
We stayed with Max in the Palatinate Forest for the 2nd time, as last time everything was great, Max is a top host. It will become an Easter tradition for us to come back 👍🏻. Can only recommend the place to you.

Can only agree with the previous speakers, with Max you get all-round satisfaction. Starting with the explanatory videos, the availability at all times and support with questions, to the electricity and toilet use included and not to forget the kid highlight campfire for which he brought our daughter extra kindling. It was our first time in the backcountry and it was an instant hit 😉👍

Communication with Max is quick and uncomplicated. You get all the important information right from the start and if you do have a question, Max helps you straight away. The pitch is great and offers enough privacy due to its size. You can chat with other campers at the fire pit or simply gaze at the starry sky. We had a great stay.

A very nice place with a fireplace in a great Palatinate Forest area with very good hiking opportunities in all directions. Very important: there are also places to stop for refreshments nearby. A clear recommendation for a time-out with a very nice host.

The teacher in me, which I was once, among other things, says: "exemplary": immediately after booking, I was sent two explanatory videos in Whatsapp. Thanks to the videos, we found everything easy and convenient when we arrived and there was some nice communication: Max would have come by to say "hello" if we hadn't gone to the old castle rocks with their successful "highlight". The communication after our departure was also personal, friendly and original. The fact that we were alone in front of the Schützenhaus and could even use the toilet was of course the icing on the cake. Highly recommended - everything
The pitch at Max's is really a dream. If you're looking for peace and quiet and a fire pit, this is the place for you. The nearby road can hardly be heard after 10 pm. The toilet is old, but super clean. Definitely adequate. The communication with Max was consistently great and positive, he was always available. We will definitely be back again.
Highly recommended place to feel good and relax. The site is beautifully secluded. From there you can find some beautiful routes for hiking. The kids also had a lot of fun. Max is a super nice host. We will definitely be back again.

The place is very nice in the middle of trees. Barbecue and some shade available. Who arrives with dogs should know if they are bulletproof because the place is next to a shooting club. However, is not constantly operation. In itself tip top place, come back with pleasure. Greetings Achim

Max has received us very friendly and explained everything extensively. There were 4 cars on site. All had plenty of space. In the area you can walk and bike well. The shooting practice from the shooting range was clearly audible, as well as the highway has not disturbed us, however. Any time again!

The site is super located, many hiking opportunities possible directly from the spot. Wild animals are probably always directly with on site, tracks we have found, unfortunately seen at night none. Contact with max was great, anytime again! Procedure generally super unbureaucratic and simple, highly recommended.

A great pitch, nice and quiet location. From there you can start hiking or biking directly. Ideal also with dog. The toilet in the Schützenhaus is completely okay and clean. Remains still the host Max, better it does not really go. Friendly contact in advance via Whatsapp. Looks personally by, whether everything is good and puts in the morning simply rolls in front of the camper. Thank you dear Max, we have felt completely comfortable and will be happy to come back!
Four of us went camping with Max and it was really great. Max is super helpful and answers all your questions via Whattsapp immediately. The camping meadow is huge and belongs to the area of the shooting club Pirmasens. There is a large ring-shaped fireplace with firewood and you can also barbecue there. A large central tree on the meadow provides shade and invites you to sit together. Toilets (very clean!) can be used 24h by key in the shooting clubhouse. Max can also organize shooting events at the shooting range for you. For example, we got a professional instruction from Jens and could test different types of weapons. We had a great weekend at Max's and will certainly come back again.

A super great place to explore the wider area. Standing all alone in the greenery. There is the possibility to make a campfire and barbecue. Toilet use in the shooting house. Max is a very sympathetic host , from the initial contact with instruction video to getting to know each other personally. Then it turns out that you have the same hobbies, from Womo to dogs to motorcycling. Simply perfect. 👍 There was also the opportunity to get a taste of the current shooting operation. After a flying visit to the Black Forest, our way back should lead us through the Palatinate Forest. After a short internet research we had decided for the "Stellplatz am Pfälzer Wald" - especially the geographical proximity to the home of our daughter played a role. Then also the realization: it makes sense to take the archery equipment with us... Then also the very pleasant, from the beginning sympathetic contact with our site ranger Max... Planned & checked. Our expectations were not only met, but far exceeded. Super place, very idyööisch located, very soft meadow, very nasty stuck, very strong "shooter" help. Okay, the camper was then - new and dirty - on gravel ground, but that did not diminish our adventurous spirit. Electricity we could have, but the PV on our WoMo has proven itself. Class, how - yes one can say: friendly - we were received. Well, and the offer to shoot with a shotgun, although I'm actually traveling with bow and arrow, has driven the "shotgun grin" in's face. I can only recommend Max's pitch! Max is super nice and even gave me some tips for the surrounding area. It is very quiet, wood for making a fire is ready and there is also a grill. To make the most of the electricity, you should bring an extension cord or cable drum. All in all, I was very satisfied and will be happy to come back!

Large meadow, belonging to the club grounds of the shooting club. Max is a top host. Has extra the why mowed again and sent in advance a briefing video via WhatsApp. Wood for a campfire was already there as well as a Straomanschluss. For the next morning he even offered to bring rolls from the bakery. Sanitary facilities (toilet, sink) in the clubhouse simple but clean, what more do you need? The area invites you to hike, a Palatinate Forest clubhouse as well as a forester's lodge with beer garden are nearby-along with the "usual" rocky attractions of the area. Thumbs up and gladly again!
