  • Very friendly host. The outdoor shower was cold but pleasant.

  • Top-notch hosts, very, very friendly, and a great campsite and yard. We really enjoyed our stay and can definitely recommend a visit. Be sure to try the apple cake :-)

  • We felt right at home at Gudrun and Peter’s quiet farm. We had a great campsite with a panoramic view. Peter is very nice and prepared a delicious dinner and breakfast for us. We were also able to extend our stay by one more day on short notice. Overall, highly recommended.

  • I stayed at this campsite with our camper and my 13-year-old daughter, and we had called ahead to let them know we were coming. They confirmed that the restrooms and showers were available and in working order. The next morning, we were shown how to access the vacation rental with the restroom facilities. We were even offered the chance to do our laundry—at first, everything seemed very friendly. On the second evening, around 7:30 p.m., however, an incident occurred that abruptly ended our stay there. Since there was no obvious place to wash dishes, I began washing our small pile of dishes in the kitchen next to the restroom facilities. The operator reacted immediately with great irritation, raising his voice and becoming increasingly aggressive. It was unthinkable to be washing dishes so late; after all, I’d already “disturbed him so late” the previous evening…?! Although I apologized and explained that I hadn’t realized this wasn’t allowed, the situation escalated. Right in front of my daughter, we were ordered to leave the property immediately. As we walked back to our camper, the owner—in my opinion—even became physically aggressive, grabbed me by the throat, and explicitly threatened me with consequences if I were to post a negative review. Out of concern for my daughter, I refrained from any resistance and left the site immediately. My daughter was completely distraught afterward and continued to tremble for a long time. This experience cast a lasting shadow over our vacation. Because of this experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this campsite!

  • We stayed at the farm for two nights at the end of May and will definitely be back. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay! We were given a very warm welcome and well taken care of, with freshly baked rolls and house specialties. Very tasty! The place is in a quiet location and beautifully landscaped with greenery; you can enjoy both sun and shade, making it ideal for bike rides along the nearby dike. Thank you so much for the wonderful time 😁

  • A very nice, quiet campsite with very friendly hosts.

  • Such a beautiful place with such caring hosts—it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the peace and quiet, the scenery, and the food! Warm regards, Doro & Rainer

  • We had a wonderful time—a big thank you to our hosts, Gudrun, Peter, and Fokko, and the whole flock of chickens! We had so much fun there and, above all, found the peace and quiet we so desperately needed! We had breakfast at the Hofcafe and picked up some of their legendary cake to take with us for the afternoon! We’ll definitely be back—it doesn’t get any better than this! ❤️

  • It wasn’t a coincidence, but fate: we changed our destination on a whim—and it was exactly the right decision. Not only are Gudrun and Peter incredibly kind, warm-hearted people with whom we immediately felt a deep connection, but our camper neighbor was also very friendly. The surroundings are idyllic and peaceful, perfect for unwinding. There are plenty of opportunities for beautiful bike rides. Unfortunately, for health reasons, I could only ride as far as Greetsiel, but my husband discovered many more great destinations that we want to explore on future trips—including with our granddaughters. We’ll definitely be back in the summer. My personal highlight was the peace and quiet, the proximity to the water, the (not quite finished) swimming pond—and, of course, Focko. He stole my heart right away. And we’re already looking forward to the next fish platter and Gudrun’s delicious cakes.

  • We had a wonderful time and would love to come back.

  • Super friendly welcome from the host. The breakfast was really delicious. We would love to come back :)

  • Super friendly, we had booked breakfast, super 1++ and the best we had our 3 grandchildren with us and breakfast was free, it was all homemade rolls etc. Ideal for families with children ducks, chickens, and the dog did it to the children. We were glad that everything was fully booked over Whitsun and we found a great pitch here. we will definitely be back

  • We liked it very much, everything was as described, very friendly hosts also to dogs. We will definitely come back and continue our short trip.

  • Had a very relaxing stay can highly recommend the cake

  • Everything as described. Nice quiet location

  • Super place, totally quiet. You get visits from chickens, runner ducks and the house and yard dog. Unfortunately, the Hofcafe was already closed when we arrived and we couldn't eat anything....even breakfast has to be ordered a day in advance. It's best to have some food with you... But otherwise great, we will definitely be back...

  • It's a very nice place to relax. Sometimes the chickens come by, they are really cute. It's great for cycling or walking along the dyke. Gudrun and Peter are very friendly, helpful and sympathetic hosts. We will keep the days there in very good memory and will gladly come back again. Petra and Stefan

  • It is always a pleasure to spend your vacation with such hosts in a pleasant atmosphere. Whether by ferry to Ditzum, by car to Emden or just along the North Sea coast along the canals, the farm offers a central starting point. Whether for breakfast or dinner in the Hofcafe you are well catered for. We will remember these sunny fall days for a long time. Many thanks for this ..... Eva and Stephan

  • If you love peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Spent a few wonderful quiet days here. Very tasty bread rolls and cakes. The hosts are very friendly. Highly recommended! I will be back lg Regina

  • We booked extremely spontaneously (15 minutes before arrival) and were warmly welcomed. We had a beautiful pitch with a view of the dyke and the sunset. We can only recommend the breakfast with home-baked bread rolls and homemade jams! 😊

  • I really enjoyed the friendly hospitality, the delicious homemade cake and the bread rolls. A quiet gem not far from the dyke in the middle of fields and meadows. Definitely worth a detour!

  • We stayed one night with Gudrun and her husband Peter when we were passing through. We were given a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. There was a very good breakfast 😋. The pitches were quiet, had electricity and there was water and gray water disposal on request. We were very satisfied and would love to come back 👍.

  • Gudrun and Peter are very lovely hosts. The place directly behind the dyke is quiet and beautiful, and the café they run is wonderful. Delicious rolls, cakes, pies and fish sandwiches, all homemade! I hope to be able to return again.

  • The place was nice and the welcome was friendly. Due to the rest day on Wednesday, the café was closed and there was only an emergency toilet available.

  • This place is very nice and quiet. Gudrun and Peter gave us a very warm welcome. The cakes, breakfast and evening meal were simply a must, so lovingly and deliciously prepared. Despite a major problem at the farm and the resulting stress, Gudrun and Peter were very attentive to their guests. We would love to come back.

  • A guest with friends. Wonderful place with a highly recommended Hofcafe. We ate like kings. Great bike tours along the dyke. Colorful sunset. Dear Gudrun, Dear Peter, thank you very much, stay healthy and hope to see you again soon

  • Very nice, helpful hosts!

  • Everything was fine. Nice accommodating hosts. Everything was fine. Thank you

  • Great farm, great people! Breakfast and food in the café on request. The chickens, geese and dog occasionally visit you at the camper. Would love to come back!

  • Clean, quiet place, very friendly hosts. Bread roll service included. Peter even conjured up something to eat for us in the evening. All in all, a great time on the farm. Many thanks

  • Very nice landlord. Place is quiet and as described.

  • Wonderful peace and quiet! Three pitches, each with bench and table on a large, very well-kept meadow away from the buildings are paved with some gravel, so even in the rain you don't have to worry about getting stuck, the sea is within walking distance, and in the cozy Hofcafe there is delicious food. Very, very nice hosts made sure that I felt completely at ease, I would definitely stay there again if I were to visit the area again!

  • Nice, courteous hosts, beautiful place and a perfect end to the day in the café with a beer and an unobstructed view as far as the dyke. Good starting point for cycling tours: Greetsiel, Pilsum, Campen, Rysum, all just around the corner.

  • We had initially only booked one day, but were then able to enjoy two days. I've already written the review for the first day. The second day was even better. This was due to the weather, but first and foremost we felt a little more comfortable. The crab rolls also contributed to this 🙂

  • What a great location :-) Pure nature and super nice hosts. Everything you need and more. Will be on our "places to return to" list!
