Such a warm and welcoming couple! I arrived there in the evening with my 8-year-old daughter, and we were greeted with such joy! They even offered us a space heater and an extra blanket for the cold night! My daughter was free to play in the garden, and they were quick to help us with any questions we had! We’ll definitely be back!
We spent a few wonderful days here in our camper van and felt incredibly welcome from the very first moment. The warm welcome from Ala & Thomas and their detailed introduction immediately created a relaxed atmosphere. The beautiful garden is the perfect place to unwind. There was a shared toilet and shower in the basement. We found the electrical hookup and the dishwashing area in the garden especially convenient. There was even an emergency camping toilet in the garden—really well thought out! Absolutely perfect for families: Our son loved the trampoline and felt completely at home. In addition to the trampoline, there’s also a lovely garden corner with a sandbox and seating. The good HVV/S-Bahn connection to Hamburg is also a major plus. The garden is adjacent to the S-Bahn tracks, but that didn’t bother us at all. We would love to stay with Ala and Thomas again on our next visit to Hamburg and can 100% recommend this place!! Thomas and Ala were wonderful hosts—I felt completely at ease, safe, and right at home with them from the very start. The heath and the forest are a dream and just a few steps away. A small, secluded spot to relax. If you want to go downtown, just take the S-Bahn. It’s only a 5-minute ride, and you’re in downtown Hamburg without having to transfer. A paradise. I’ll definitely be back. 🫶🙋♀️
