  There was a whole group here for a sort of company outing. They set off right away on their bikes—all very athletic people. The weather cooperated, so we could sit outside in the evening as well. The neighbor’s sheep gathered at the fence as usual—a dog had come along too, a very well-behaved animal that was able to roam freely here and went more or less unnoticed by the neighbor’s dog. Such nature-loving and undemanding guests are, of course, always welcome. I think they enjoyed it. In any case, I was glad that everyone had enough space and there was never a shortage of room.
