A cool forest campsite with steps leading down to the lake. We were here alone for two nights and had a great time. The site itself hasn’t been maintained in quite some time. The “parking bays” shown in the pictures are clearly overgrown. Whether you want to pay €28 is up to you. Electricity is available—that’s about it. Here, you’re really paying for the peace and quiet, the solitude, and the electricity. The directions are good, but you’ll need to use your head—you’ll have to make a decision on your own once or twice, and then you’ll find red-white-green stripes. There’s no “signage” in the traditional sense.
The location is great, just a few steps and you're right on the water with heavenly peace and quiet. You can also find the pitch with a little patience. The pitches themselves are difficult to recognize, I wasn't sure at first whether I was in the right place. But overall, if you don't make any demands, you will be rewarded by the location and the peace and quiet.
Unfortunately, the pictures in the profile give a much better impression than we had on site. The site looked unkempt and not particularly inviting. There are no public sunbathing areas on the lake below the campsite, only private jetties. We therefore decided not to stay.
A quiet, idyllic campsite in the middle of the forest, right on the lake. Perfect for relaxing, with beautiful walking trails and several nearby attractions. Ideal for nature lovers. We’d love to come back!

Very ingenious pitch in the middle of the forest. Extremely quiet. Unfortunately quite expensive at 28 euros compared to campsites or other pitches.
Nice and absolutely quiet place in the middle of the forest and directly above the lake. Can't quite understand where the many difficulties in finding it come from. If you drive like Thomas writes, it really isn't an art. :)
The location on the lake is good. The directions were unfortunately inadequate and did not match the reality, the place itself was quite unkempt. The owners' website promised a pixie loo and electricity, but there was none on the backland side and neither was available. We were on our own, which is nice on the one hand but perhaps a bit scary for sensitive people. Overall ok, but not amazing.
Great pitch. Very quiet, perfect for starting a serum tour around the Zechliner See.
We are repeat offenders! Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Thomas, but the place is very nice we were there at the weekend and it was so nice and quiet. Thank you for this place we would love to come back.
Can't confirm the negative reviews. It's a great place with direct access to the lake and in the middle of the forest. The only thing that makes the approach unnecessarily difficult is the lack of a description. Tip: Drive towards the campsite (registration) until you see a corresponding entrance on the right-hand side. You've come to the right place.
Contact with the host not possible. The site is poorly signposted, but we found it thanks to the Hinterland reviews. The pitch is unkempt. Electricity, Dixie and toilet disposal available. One star for this. The site is in the middle of the forest, the lake can be reached via a staircase. In the littered forest you try in vain to listen to the noises, no twittering, but motor noises or party noise. We can recommend the fisherman's hut in Flecken-Zechlin as a place to stop for refreshments.
The site is beautifully situated. In the middle of the forest, right by the lake. Unfortunately, the host could not be reached via the app. The approach was connected with some searching. The site is beautifully laid out, but could do with some maintenance. Some areas were cordoned off. Toilet is a Dixie, but this was in a reasonable and clean condition.
This was our second stay and as always everything was great.

The place was as described, but very difficult to find. I would like all future visitors to receive a precise map of how to get there after booking. The site is beautifully laid out and the location is great. Whether it's worth 28 euros a night for a pitch that offers neither water nor the possibility of disposing of waste is ultimately up to you to decide.
A wonderful place to relax. Lots of peace and lots of nature. We really enjoyed the days and will definitely be back again.
The place is nice but looks a bit different today than on the pictures on the homepage. Part of the site was closed and it was not entirely clear where to stand. But everything worked well and we were satisfied and the peace and solitude is great. We would recommend the site to others.
Beautiful pitch, had the privilege of being alone. Unfortunately it was very difficult to get there as neither the coordinates nor the address were correct. Unfortunately, the owner didn't answer the phone either, which made everything a bit more difficult. All in all, I still had a pleasant short stay.
The camping site of Thomas is a natural oasis in the middle of the forest and directly on the lake!!! A paradise for man and dog :) The site is virtually untouched nature, yet totally tidy and well-kept. There is a porta-potty, electricity and a disposal point for feces from the camper. On arrival, all 4 places were occupied and we still had our peace and privacy. About a staircase you are directly at the lake, 5 min keep right and you have a nice swimming area incl bench, where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. We only had problems with the Navi to find the place. It is best to enter the neighboring campsite in the nav and then turn one street before at the red-white-green markings. The markings lead directly to the place of Thomas. We will definitely come again!
Grandiose pitch in the forest by the lake! We had a great relaxing time. We had the pitch completely to ourselves. It was wonderfully quiet and the lake is right outside the door, just down the stairs and you're already there. (Yes many jetties are private, but has not bothered us, because there are still great places where you can get into the water. Even in the next place to get rolls it is a great walk along the water. It was terrific all around. We will be happy to come back.
The best thing that can happen at the end of a long ride - mega pitch directly in the forest and only one stair down directly on the water. Electricity, waste disposal and a clean toilet, just great. And what is wonderful - Thomas and his "helpers" are mega nice and competent - gladly again
We could not find the camp immediately because of missing clues. Lies high above the Great Zechlin Lake with stairs to the shore. Below everywhere closed jetties, but after about 50 meters walk you find a place where you come to the water. All in all, the place itself has a nice location, we have the dacha neighborhood full of prohibition signs not so good.

Waldcamp lives up to its name here! Very quiet site directly on the lake under trees. Place is well fortified, electricity available. The cleanest, most fragrant TOI hut I've ever been! Super nice and quick contact with questions 👍🏻👍🏻 gladly again 😊
Really quiet place for a relaxing weekend. The lake is just great for swimming. The existing infrastructure is in good shape and is perfectly adequate. We like to come back again.
Up to 13 pitches in the forest with clean porta-potties. Access to the lake via a steep wooden staircase. Bakery and fish restaurant nearby.
Were there for 2 nights,were also lucky, with us were on the 1st day only 3 other campers there.... Nice quiet place, porta potty also goes, ok for the short time. Way to the lake a bit adventurous over the stairs, just with dog. Lake is mega beautiful, clear water, who is looking for peace, is exactly right... Price we found totally ok.
We had a good time on the site directly on the lake. Unfortunately, there were quite a few pitches, so you have to come in time to get a good one. Some places are quite small, others a bit sloping, others directly at the toilet and the rest then just further away from happening (toilet, lake). The with the porta potties could possibly be reconsidered, or wärs good if for the price on the weekend times someone refills water and toilet paper, it is particularly unpleasant when the big ones in there dispose of their gray water. Smells then accordingly. Mosquitoes without end on top of the place, down at the water fortunately hardly. The stairs to the water is steep, and for children and dog feet ne challenge, but always worthwhile, the lake is beautiful. All in all a good time, but for the price somehow too cramped and too few amenities. We were lucky and many nice neighbors who were also often away or wanted their peace.
Since we had already booked, there was no long checkin. Simply choose a pitch and set up. The place was as described, clean, even with soap and paper towels in the porta-potty. The lake directly in front of the place with fantastically clear water. We will certainly come again. It was a great short trip. Thank you

The place was a little hard to find but arrived there total peace in nature. About the stairs it went directly to the lake. For a night in nature super. Communication with the host fast and uncomplicated.

We liked it very much. The photos do not show that the lake is nearby, but several meters lower than the pitch. It leads down a treffe which is something to get used to. Nevertheless, the lake is beautiful and has invited to swim.
We were here for 2 nights. The first night we were completely alone on the place. It was very quiet and in the morning you could hear the birds. The place is beautifully located in the forest, where there are sunny, as well as shady places. The nearby lake is also very nice, although the residents are probably not so enthusiastic about campers. Unfortunately, we got a little stuck on the site and came out only with difficulty. Nevertheless, we would definitely come again!
We were here for one night and we liked it very much. Besides our van, there was only one other van on site. It was super quiet and relaxing and is ideal for 1-2 nights. The Dixi is clean and as long as very few people here are absolutely ok.
We had a very quiet stay and were all alone on the pitch. GoogleMap has also led us badly astray, but with female intuition you get further in life. It reminded us very much of Finland and Estonia, but to the real happiness and 5 stars lacked a proper dry toilet. A porta-potty is no substitute.
It is now not the absolutely typical hinterland pitch, where you stand alone or with very few campers together, because there are not as indicated 4 but rather about 15 pitches, the plots are sufficiently large, but there is no privacy screen between them, so that there is no longer so much privacy at full capacity. When we were there, were far from all sites occupied, so we stood quietly and therefore also spontaneously extended a night. Note on hinterland is missing completely, so we had to search a bit at the beginning to find the right pitch. Access to the lake is via a staircase, electricity available, but you need a very long cable depending on the pitch. Toilet is a porta-potty, was very clean, but at some point water was empty for washing hands and when it was warmer, it no longer smelled so pleasant, have then again preferred the on-board toilet. Be sure to take spray against mosquitoes, even for dogs, ours were totally bitten on the head.
Nice little pitch in the middle of the forest with access to the lake via stairs. We were only one night with our van and for this short time the porta-potty is ok. The surroundings are wonderful, wonderfully clear water. We will certainly come again :)

Super quiet. We were there all alone. Sometimes a walker with dog comes by. To the lakeshore you only have to walk down a staircase. The pitches are simply laid out with bark mulch. Wedges necessary because partly uneven. There is only one power point for all pitches. Possibly a long cable is necessary. We will definitely come again. Thank you very much.
A great pitch under pine trees, with access to the shore. The lake is beautiful and invites you for a swim or a round with the SUP. I like to come back.

Super clean pitch. All in all, we liked everything very much, unfortunately there is only one porta-potty and after 1.5 days the toilet paper and the water to wash your hands was empty. We come despite this very happy to return
