The site was unclear, and too expensive for what it was! A pond in the woods full of algae! Not suitable for swimming. There was a manure tank and a compost pile that stank, and we couldn't park the RV straight anywhere else either! I regretted it...
A nice spot by the pond and at the edge of the forest. Surprisingly few mosquitoes there. Fishing directly in the pond is not allowed.

Simply beautiful!!! Pure nature, idyllic and relaxing, with a very friendly and attentive host. Received all the necessary information and contact details right after booking. Plenty of trails for walking and biking right from the campsite. Also ideal for dogs!
A very idyllic spot with a friendly host. We weren't right next to the pond, but by the meadow, and enjoyed the perfect morning sun.
Everything was just as described—and even better! If you're looking for a quiet spot, this is the place for you. Even the cabin was open, and we were welcome to use it. There was plenty of firewood, so having a barbecue at the well-maintained grill area was no problem. A heartfelt thank you for sharing this little gem with others!
What a great spot! We were all alone by the pond in a little wood. A narrow strip of grass runs along the pond. You can park anywhere. It was wonderfully quiet. Perfect for relaxation! If it rains, it might be a bit tricky, since you have to walk up a slight incline along a forest path. But it’s only 20 meters. Winfried, I’ll definitely come back and spend a few more nights at your spot. Thank you for making this wonderful piece of nature available to campers!
A dreamy place to fall in love with. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and relax. We didn’t want to leave at all.😀 We’ll definitely be back.
Thank you so much for this wonderful stay! We booked a spot on the spur of the moment, and communication with Winfried was excellent. He responded to our questions right away. The spot was absolutely beautiful...with our two dogs, we spent a wonderful night there by the pond and around the campfire. Unfortunately, there was a lot of tree-cutting going on the next morning, so it was a bit noisy. But we’d definitely come back anytime!
I dedicate this review and this wonderful stay here to Hope, the young humpback whale who is currently fighting for her life. She wants to live, but for those in charge, profit seems to be more important than protecting nature and life. It feels completely different here; here I have no frills, no luxury, and yet more than I usually have in everyday life! Here I have many, many animals, peace, freedom, and pure nature. Here I can be myself and live carefree—that is exactly what the little humpback whale Hope wants, too. In the hope that this little whale survives and regains its freedom, I appeal to everyone who has the privilege of visiting this beautiful place: respect nature and all living creatures, just as this family does. Not many would share such a paradise with others. And at €22, there’s certainly no question of profit. With that in mind, I give it 10 stars and a double plus!!!

A beautiful place, so peaceful and quiet! We had great walks and wonderful scenic experiences including swimming nearby for the dogs! Landlords are so incredibly nice, we would definitely love to come back and look forward to it!

A great spot, quiet and relaxed. Winfried is great, helped us immediately when we got stuck in the mud. If it rains, it's better to park the camper van above the lake. Very beautiful area, long paths for walks. Thank you for the relaxing time, we would love to come back. LG Doreen and Heiko
The place is ideal for relaxing and unwinding. Wonderfully situated in the middle of nature. Butterfly, dragonfly and carp are represented. We enjoyed it very much and our dog was very happy about the peace and quiet. We would love to come back. Greetings Christine, Henning and Sissi

A very beautiful place. Surrounded by nature. There is a small hut with a fireplace and a small pond. It was just us and we enjoyed the idyllic setting.

Thank you for this really romantic spot! It's really quiet here, but you can still get to the town quickly by bike and it's only 20 minutes from the enchanted forest. Also a big thank you for Winfried's quick help when we got stuck with the motorhome (the weather was not on our side on the day of departure). Always happy to come back!!! Everything was super nicely prepared and there were even a few Easter eggs ready to greet us
This place is a dream. Especially perfect for dog owners. Our dogs could run around freely all day. We were greeted with eggs from their free-range chickens. During our journey, our water tank ran out completely and we were allowed to fill it up for free at the owners' private house. Thanks again for that. We also used the open fireplace. The idyllic spot by the pond is simply great! The possibility of making a warming fire creates a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing or socializing in the evening. The hut as a shelter is a real bonus - it offers protection and rustic accommodation, which only adds to the authenticity of the experience. The hosts are warm and attentive, which makes the stay a real pleasure. You feel completely welcome here. Definitely a place we would love to visit again. A big thank you for this wonderful experience!

Our absolute recommendation for anyone who loves peace and quiet and prefers a pitch with shade. The site offers everything a camper's heart desires! Great views, shade, beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. We would love to come back!
"An absolute insider tip! The camper van site in the forest is simply fantastic. The location by the lake is perfect for relaxing, and the highlight was definitely the raft, which we could take for a little spin on the water. In the evening, we made ourselves comfortable by the fire pit - simply wonderful. The peace and seclusion made our stay particularly relaxing. We will definitely be back!"
The host was excellent! We got a bit lost on our way to the site and she drove to us to help us get there. She was extremely nice and patient. The site is beautiful and quiet with nice walking paths nearby. Plenty of wood for a nice campfire. I wouldn't recommend swimming in the ponds though.

We were spontaneously looking for a short weekend getaway for four and found this idyllic spot. We were able to enjoy the beautiful weather completely undisturbed and the fantastic hut offered us shelter when it rained. The place was incredibly peaceful and we felt like we could really switch off. Thank you so much for letting us spend our time here! We would love to come back :)
Beautiful location, plenty of wood available. Off the beaten track, hardly any traffic on the roads, our dog could run free the whole time, although not fenced in. We would gladly stay again. 👍🏼

Super nice pitch! Everything is as described. There is even a WC. The hut has electricity and you can charge your cell phone, for example. We were traveling with a roof tent and were right next to the pond. The site was easy to navigate. Very nice, friendly and helpful host. Always on hand if you need help. Dogs can run free wonderfully. We stayed for 3 days and will definitely be back.
Everything was as described and we had a wonderful, quiet parking space after we found it🤣Of course we got lost first but very nice help from the owner, then moved in immediately. With a 7m motorhome, it is advisable to stay at the top and not drive down into the forest to the pond. But it's only a few steps to the water, where our dogs felt right at home. Everything was great! One thing that should perhaps be mentioned for TV fans at a European Championship is that there is no satellite reception or DVBT there. But of course it worked via hotspot on the cell phone😇We will definitely go there again, that's for sure
Everything is fine, nice long, good infrastructure, very friendly communication 👍🏻 I only have one tiny suggestion for improvement: a bucket would be better suited to flushing the toilet than the watering can provided, due to the larger opening and the associated flow rate. Otherwise, all that remains for me to say is thank you for a great time 😌

A really great pitch - super nice host - easy and fast communication - peace and relaxation guaranteed - super beautiful walks right in front of the pitch! The hut really saved our weekend and thanks to dry wood from the host we were able to light the stove and it quickly became really warm and cozy - thank you very much!!! There's no question we'll be back, hopefully without rain ☺️

The contact with Winfried went smoothly, we booked the pitch for our passage. But then decided to change at short notice and drove through to home. The money has refunded us Winfried. Many thanks for that, not self-evident nowadays. Unfortunately, I can not say anything about the place itself, because we were not there, but I would book it again, because it looks very romantic :)

... since we have extended & evaluated as already written there's nothing to add - or yet - one should not recommend the place, otherwise we come with the next request certainly not to the train!? - because already occupied!
Who is looking for peace and seclusion is exactly right here. We liked it very much.
The hosts are straightforward and super helpful. The upper place is located at the end of a spur road super quiet above the cottage. The lower place directly on the lake is passable with smaller vehicle and depending on the weather only with four-wheel drive. However, two vehicles can also stand above - albeit somewhat cramped. Depending on the wind direction, the nearby highway is somewhat audible. If you are looking for peace, relaxation and want to do something good for your pet, this is the right place. We have added a few days with our elderly dog. In the surrounding area you can super cycling. Right in the neighboring village Wildenstein there are shopping opportunities and very good gastronomy. We will come again.
Beautiful quiet idyllic place, but there is also some criticism. The site at the pond is not suitable for larger campers. Low hanging branches and in wet conditions only with four-wheel drive to drive, more suitable for campers in VW bus size. The upper place at the edge of the forest is good to drive (gravel) and relatively flat. In our case, however, this was occupied and we had to stand at the woodshed on the way, which was not bad now because the other campers stayed longer. We have parked them quasi. I also asked in writing whether you can fill the water tank at the camper. As an answer I got that this is not possible, although it is described differently in the app.🤷♂️ Otherwise, the area is great for hiking and biking. But who wants to play it safe should rent both places, then you have absolute peace.

two very nice places, one directly at the pond and one around the corner with a view into the distance. we had booked both to enjoy total peace and quiet. it was really nice, uncomplicated contact, breakfast eggs were also available. wonderful walking and biking trails with refreshment stops start directly at the place. and getting up early is worth it, field hares, deer, foxes, everything right in front of your nose to see. thank you - we will certainly come again!

Very nice place !!! Log cabin is open, you can stand directly on the pond, great fireplace, everything you need available. If you want to stand directly on the water, four-wheel drive is an advantage. Bike paths, etc. directly from the place.Gene again,👍
