Apparently, pitches are rented here, which according to local residents do not belong to the "host". The coordinates transmitted after booking point to a meadow. Since this was meters high overgrown with grass, we stood at the edge of the meadow. When we had just unpacked everything, a gentleman came and photographed us and our license plate. He answered our question, what this is about, that this is his meadow and his way. Shortly after, another couple arrived in a camper. They saw us standing and didn't know where to park their camper. They called the "host" and he explained that the pitch was the one next to the blackberry hedge in sight. Then the next morning we were photographed again, by another gentleman who said he was from the municipality. This plot of land apparently does not belong to the "host" either. We were insulted, threatened with charges and forbidden to use the approach or departure route. We were treated like wild campers twice during our short stay. We don't feel like that, that's why we book through Hinterlandcamp. By the way, it should be mentioned that even if the place would belong to the "host", it is impossible. Extremely slanted, we have wedges, and not the smallest, yet we stood crooked. For table and chairs was then only the place on the way, also slanted, and constantly passed walkers who eyed us suspiciously and sometimes shaking their heads at us. We have never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in any place. Host's reply: "It is unfortunate that the guest had this experience. He has received his money back from me in full. However, I can not understand why he does not book a campsite with his high demands."
Very nice place, very good communication
Beautiful place above the village. The approach was exciting due to the previous rain but thanks to 4x4 no problem. Will definitely come again! The village is 5 min away, beautiful walks start directly from the site.
The contact was super friendly and helpful. The place itself is also really nice, in the middle of nature and with great views. However, you have to rely somewhat on the weather forecast, because even we with a VW bus could not drive the actual path. It was very muddy and we did not get through. We drove over other roads to the place and in the morning, thanks to the slope, we came down again without getting stuck. When it is drier and warmer, however, this issue should be resolved and the journey will be less adventurous.
The place is super nice - not easy to find but WhatsApp descriptions had then spontaneously helped a lot on arrival. Here's why I still give only three stars: we arrived in the rain and my camper (MAN - 140 hp) had no chance to reach the actual place on rain-soaked grass. We had tried, but this proved to be too risky, we slid diagonally and did not want to get stuck. We ended up standing far below the actual site where we could drive on gravel. Again the place is beautiful and we were super friendly escorted, but I would not drive through to the actual place again in rain wet grass.
For 5 tents was enough space in the allotment, the overnight price is also fully ok, we were only for a stopover for one night stayed there. The place is located about 7 min walk from the bus stop and is therefore very easy to reach.
