Top-notch 👍 Everything was just as expected 👏 Pure nature, peace and quiet, plenty of space, and truly pristine lakes. We were warmly welcomed by the groundskeeper, Olaf—and our furry friend, too. And honestly, that little welcome gift for our dog was such a sweet gesture—we’ll enjoy it for a long time. We stayed for two nights in early June and had tons of space. All communication went smoothly. The restrooms certainly won’t win any design awards, but everything was clean and there was nothing to complain about. Well, the weather didn’t cooperate quite as we’d hoped, but nobody can do anything about that. The bread roll service was great, and we can absolutely recommend this campground. Thanks again so much 🤗🤗
Dear Christian, I’d like to take this opportunity to once again congratulate you on your campground’s 20th anniversary. You’re not really supposed to give away insider tips… but I’ll make an exception here. This is now the third time we’ve enjoyed your hospitality. As always, it was simply wonderful. We especially appreciated the relaxed attitude toward all our “furry friends”—which, from experience, isn’t always the case. Thanks also to Olaf. It’s an idyllic spot, the canoe rentals are great, and the groundskeeper is friendly and helpful! We didn’t expect the Kanufarm to be a campground, since the listing said it had only 6 campsites. We had a great time anyway :-)
The owner and the groundskeeper were both very friendly and helpful. It was a cozy, laid-back, and welcoming atmosphere. It’s great that you can rent kayaks right there to set off from. Cell phone reception isn’t the best, and Wi-Fi isn’t always available. But that makes for a nice, forced break. The bread service is really cool, and they’re happy to accommodate requests.
A really lovely spot by the lake with great service. We were the only ones there, but we still got fresh rolls delivered. Even our dog got a welcome gift. Thank you so much—we’d love to come back. Tino and Kathleen

The site is quite nice if you want peace and quiet and don't like a large campsite. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years.

Beautiful place, nice people, everything you need for a nice vacation if you just want to switch off in nature. There are great opportunities to get out into nature with canoeing, hiking and cycling. We would love to come back!

A very nice campsite, in a quiet location and also an ideal starting point for canoe trips. The birdsong in the morning and evening is just great. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but it was clean and absolutely okay. The entrance area for canoes is new with a beautifully landscaped garden and sun loungers. We received a very friendly welcome and everything was very relaxed. For us it was a wonderful place to spend (unfortunately) only two days.

Christian gave us a very warm welcome. :) We even had the opportunity to go kayaking/canoeing and make a campfire. The location is really beautiful. In just a few minutes you can walk directly to the lake and enjoy nature unfiltered. We can only warmly recommend Christian as a host. :)

Super quiet, few people, plenty of space. Very close to nature. The children were able to move around freely without feeling like they were getting on anyone's nerves. Our kayaks were quickly in the water.

Everything was perfect. The sanitary facilities are very clean. We received thorough instructions for a canoe tour. Communication was uncomplicated - Christian and his team are very nice hosts. We would certainly like to come back again.

Very friendly hosts. Clean sanitary facilities. Unfortunately we had a mosquito problem. However, this did not detract from our stay. The restaurant "Johannesruh", which is 500 meters away and also belongs to the campsite operator, is very pleasant. Beautiful ambience there.

Great place for people who love simplicity. The area is incredible and the place also seems to attract extremely relaxed people. If you have a map of the area, you should have it with you. Komoot or similar is difficult. But there are great tour tips, whether by water or by land. The small store also has everything you really need
We stayed at the canoe farm for three days and felt very comfortable. You can set off in a canoe directly from the campsite. Really great!
Uncomplicated, helpful, friendly! Thank you for a wonderful stay! The site is not directly on the lake but you walk about 1 minute through the forest. There is a wide platform with a great view and a bench. A plus is the small store and the supply of coffee, beer and the bread service. Some of the sanitary facilities seem cobbled together and cramped, but they are clean.

Nice friendly hosts, very helpful. Clean sanitary facilities. Small pitch close to nature. Unfortunately a lot of mosquitoes in the whole area even at this time of year. Canoe trips and bike tours are very easy from there. We would love to come back.

Christian is a very nice host. Campground is located very quiet. Few campers, free choice of place. The paid showers (1 €) are very good and clean. The free ones are so naja. The campsite is not directly on the lake as it makes the impression on the photo. You walk about 1 minute through a small forest to a jetty.

The site is very nice, there are enough trees for shade and there is plenty of space . The sanitary facilities are very clean, there is soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, canoe rental is straightforward,. You can order bread rolls in the morning. A very nice spot, we will be happy to come back.
Wonderful place to switch off
For our vacation with the grandchildren and dog it was perfect, the arrival was uncomplicated, you got fresh coffee and ice cream at any time and we had enough space in this idyllic setting , we like to come back, Ulrike and Andreas
Everything super, uncomplicated and chilled! Although actually a campsite, it is not at all "campsite-like" there. Very cool!
We had a few nice days at the canoe farm, there is free choice of sites on the property. There are clearly more than 6 pitches had imagined it a bit different, was still nice. There are free showers and showers for 1 € which are then somewhat more private. The toilets were always clean. Super is that you can borrow a canoe directly at the site and has directly an entrance to the great lake landscape. Roll service was also great, unfortunately, the wasps were partly barely tolerable.
Everything is great, uncomplicated and in addition sufficient canoes, kayaks and SUPs to start directly in a very idyllic area.

The site is very idyllic, pleasantly small and yet laid out so that everyone has his little spot with appropriate privacy. The sanitary buildings were clean and everything else worked out great. We come again with pleasure.

Very nice small campsite with a lake where you can not swim, but can start great canoe or kayak trips. Dogs can run free here.

Very idyllic jetty on natural lake with water lilies. Quiet days spent. Surroundings invite you to explore. Showers in the container only separated by curtain between women's and men's area. Takes some getting used to. However, there is also another shower, which costs extra. Sanitary facilities clean.

We spent a few relaxing and restful days at the canoe farm. Christian is a very nice and helpful host. Bread rolls were ready from 7 am. The place impresses with its relaxed and quiet atmosphere and the great outdoor opportunities - by canoe and by bike. We will definitely come again, even if the way from NRW is very far.

Very nice place in the middle of nature. The operators are really friendly. The lake is 50m from the place through the forest - the jetty, as also seen in the pictures, gorgeous. We were there for 3 days, there is a bread service in the morning, which was great! The nearest bathing place is a little further away, but also within easy walking distance. We were during the day a lot on the road, because the place is super between Wesenberg and Wustrow, so you can do a lot in the surrounding area.
Our stay over Whitsun was very nice! The location is very idyllic, everyone is super helpful and we felt very well taken care of. Despite the very good occupancy of the campsite was harmonious, quiet and just nice relaxing. Thank you very much for this and we will certainly come again.
Nice place, a bit bigger than we had imagined based on the description - but still very "cozy". The staff is super nice and helpful. Great starting point for bike or canoe tours. Campfire was possible, firewood could be pulled for free from a large pile of green cuttings. Who is dependent on fast Internet, but better look for another place: absolute radio hole, not even phone calls were possible (O2 & Vodafone). The free Wi-Fi of the place but enough to check mails or for WA. We also liked the possibility to buy snacks and drinks at the reception. Outside of reception hours, there is also a vending machine available. Overall, we had a great stay and recommend the place gladly!

Very nice place in the middle of nature. Ideal for switching off. A very attentive host. The pitches are huge, each has its privacy. Canoes and kayaks are offered on site and tour tips are given. Absolutely recommendable. Take enough mosquito repellent. It is just at the water and in the nature. If necessary, there is also in the kiosk on site.

Had found this place via the ColiforniaOnTour Appp. Now we sit at the last coffee just before our trip home Hanover. Enjoy the view of this wonderful place and the lake in the background. This place is an idyll and we had him the weekend all to ourselves. Were nicely received on Friday and everything was explained to us in detail by Christian. Even wood for our campfire we had available. Everything was absolutely uncomplicated. After the bike tour in the rain we enjoyed the warm showers and sanitary facilities. At the end of our tour we made a very nice canoe trip and a fish roll at the fishing lodge. Will definitely come again. Absolutely recommendable. Tina and Knut
Beautiful natural place with own canoe/kayak rental and small "natural harbor" as entry point . Great starting point for relaxed to challenging paddling tours. The sanitary facilities are clean and functional. The bread service is top! For dogs there was even a small welcome gift. Christian is a sympathetic host, which we recommend very gladly!
Christian's place is very cozy and the pitches are spacious. There are two different sanitary areas, both very sour and neat. The place itself is very remote - so you should like the quiet in nature 🤗. There is a very good entrance for water sports enthusiasts. We liked it very much and will be happy to come back.b
Overall, we had two beautiful days at the canoe farm at Heegesee. The lake landscape is beautiful and the place is quiet. To criticize are only the sanitary facilities - These are in unheated containers, toilet paper was almost always missing. It seemed to be still under reconstruction. And the bikes for rent were in very poor condition, apparently one was not yet ready for the season. The bottom line is that it is still recommended!
Unfortunately, we could not drive to the place because of an unplanned route change . But we will make up for that . But the communication was totally nice ! Nevertheless many thanks

It was simply beautiful. The location is quiet, located directly on the lake. The place you can choose freely and just enjoy the peace. Christian and his wife are totally nice and always approachable and have good tips for excursions. Also with dog it is great and in the surrounding area you can make long walks. We will be happy to come back.

The sanitary facilities are more than clean and you feel overall just comfortable and welcome. Christian is responsive to all problems and also knows workshops in the vicinity. The helpfulness is really terrific. The entire site is equipped with wifi. We are happy to come back at any time.
Very nicely located, in beautiful nature. In addition, we were received super friendly. We have made beautiful cycling and hiking tours. It was a pity that the Heegesee is not a bathing lake, which was not so clear to us. Since it was now anyway not so warm, it was not so bad, but in the heat I would have found that a pity. Otherwise, it was great that you could stand where you wanted and had massive space. There were also plenty of shady spots under the trees. The sanitary facilities were tiptop clean, the rolls delicious. On the first evening it was a bit noisy, because a group of young people from the campsite, directly at our camper played volleyball until 22:15. But that is not the fault of the operator. The next day it was idyllically quiet.
We had a wonderful stay at the camp with very great hosts. Everything was very relaxed and laid back. Just to feel good... We come back very gladly and very soon!

In mid-June only a few campers on the beautifully located area. Very friendly service. Bread rolls are ready in the morning. The birds are chirping - otherwise you hear nothing. No engine noise - only nature.
No longer an "insider tip", but very accommodating and friendly hosts, reasonable rental prices for watercraft, very idyllic and quiet place. To recommend!

Quite spacious and at Easter at 0 degrees at night still manageably occupied with caravans / motor homes. Sanitary facilities simple, but okay, gg. 1 € extra there are lockable, heated individual showers. Prices for pitch and also boat rental probably correspond to the generally rising level. All in all, absolutely recommendable for peace seekers and water hikers, because beautifully located in the middle of the lake district.
