Unfortunately, I can not rate the place because the stay did not materialize. The hostess has told on our demand by SMS/Whatsapp that she thought to have paused the offer. We could have come anyway, so the statement, but we felt then somehow not really welcome. Finally, the hostess wanted yes apparently no more guests. That's why we looked for another pitch. Three stars because on my demand for the already paid fee then came the offer, you can refund it by bank transfer.
We had a beautiful and very favorable stay in the Harz Mountains! A great starting point for great day trips, close to nature, individual. The hostess is very sympathetic, honest and able to criticize. Still the place is a construction site (with many many small and large construction sites). When we were there, there was bulky waste, deep open holes/pits and accessible "ruins". Thus, not suitable for adventurous children who also sometimes play unsupervised. For our 3-year-old daughter, however, the place was ideal: swings and a tiny sandbox, the Bode with good opportunity to go in, plenty of space, few neighbors who might feel disturbed and nothing that may not get dirty. Now and then an excavator incl construction site noise and the associated workers: the child liked it ;) us of course less. Here is worked with a lot of heart and soul and it will certainly arise something really great. But as long as it is in this raw state, it is a good opportunity, with some cutbacks, to have a cheap stay in the Harz. Unfortunately, during the day you can hear the road very loud, due to a clearing area (probably bark beetles), but from the evening the traffic almost falls silent. We are with a train strong four-wheel drive car and small caravan easily come up and down the driveway.
Nice place, nice hostess, river for washing :-). Unfortunately, the road is relatively noisy. You can't see it, but it's there. Maybe it is better to stand down by the river. But that would not have been profitable for one night, especially since someone was already registered.
We were up on the hillside with our trailer and had a very nice stay. The hiking trail starts right outside the door and the dog could cool off in the Bode. Highly recommended! Katja responds very quickly.
The site is very close to a busy road. Unfortunately, there was no proper pitch for campers, unless you stand on a gravel road. Down by the river you could not stand because of construction, unfortunately. We later looked for another place. Too bad!
Unfortunately, the descent was down to the actual place with caravan but a bit too steep - since unpaved we feared without problems not to come back up. Therefore, we took the place in front of the rubble (flattened house) that was certainly not the best view, but we were nice for us and could start from there beautiful tours. Paddling with your own boat on the reservoir in Wendefurth is unfortunately prohibited , so we had to go to Quedlinburg.
The place as a starting point for hikes (dam, suspension bridge) is ideally located. However, the descent to the Bode is so steep that it was impossible for us to stand with the caravan on the water. We had no choice but to stand at the top of the path. From the place itself we were not enthusiastic. No reasonable parking space because everywhere tree cuttings, branches and construction site. Also our hostess we have unfortunately not been able to meet. There is still some work to be done here. Too bad

We liked it wonderfully, the location is just a dream. And the contact with the owner was also super good. You can take many hiking trails and get the time super rum.

Fantastic place, very nice hosts Can only recommend and we will definitely be back!!!
A very nice contact and a beautiful place in nature. Surrounded by mountains and a river in the immediate vicinity we built our pitch. Fire with Hobo stove, fire bowl was possible without any problems. Hosts kept in the background. Maps should be analog or downloaded in advance since no network. The Rappbodetalsperre, Harzdrenalin and Titan RT bridge are not far away. Likewise the Hexenstieg. We are very happy to come back. Many thanks for the hospitality.
