A truly lovely place, and Holger is an attentive and very friendly host!
It's a lovely, simple place, just outside of town—absolutely peaceful—a great starting point for hikes or bike rides, and the host is very friendly. We'll definitely be back.
The host was really very friendly and attentive, and we stayed an extra night because we enjoyed our stay overall, especially thanks to the nearby castle. However, the property didn’t quite match the pictures, as it was less secluded than we’d expected. We had mentioned the generator, but the next morning he told us it had to be turned off by 6 a.m. His wife had already loudly pointed this out to us at 8 p.m. on the first evening, which really surprised us. Because of this, we couldn’t keep the fridge running, which was a big problem for us. Overall, it was okay, but we would have expected a discount since we couldn’t keep our food cool at night and it went bad.

It was beautiful there , perfect for a little break in nature . Beautiful hiking trails and waking up with birdsong, in the evening you can watch fireflies, Holger is a great host. I would love to come back :-)
The host Holger was very nice and accommodating. The meadow is really secluded and the surrounding area is perfect for hiking. However, the fact that there was another camper on the site was a bit of a downer. I went there in the belief that up to three vehicles could be parked there, but that the pitch could not be booked twice. But maybe that was a misunderstanding. So for me, another vacation here is out of the question, as I'm looking for solitude at this price. You should also make sure that no major events take place in Neuwied. Due to the high location, the sound can reach the campsite without interruption, which gave us pop music until 3 in the morning.
Super recommendable, beautiful meadow in the middle of the forest and surrounded by nature. Holger is a really friendly host and looked after us really well. We will definitely be back!
5 ⭐ for this more than wonderful place is actually far too little! Holger and his wife Petra are very friendly and accommodating! Holger is very keen to give his guests an absolutely unique stay. A perfect place to really relax in the middle of nature, surrounded by forests. The campsite is located directly on beautiful hiking trails of the Rheinsteig and many other fantastic premium hiking trails through natural forest cells, along streams, small rivers, castles, nature trails with great benches to linger and enjoy. Holger's place is a non plus ultra for every nature lover. This site is just as recommendable for cyclists as it is for people who just want to relax and spend the day at the site. It was a wonderful weekend for us and our four-legged friend Zeus, thank you for this great experience! There is a restaurant above the campsite where you can enjoy a bite to eat after the day, unfortunately we only found out about it on site, but we will stop there after our hikes on our next visit. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful time in the forest 🌳💚🌳

A really beautiful, unspoilt place in interesting surroundings; ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and recharging your batteries in the forest. I was able to bivouac here comfortably for two days in wintry solitude, cook to my heart's content on the fire and explore the beautiful surroundings - exactly what I had hoped for. A great place for people who don't need (or want) a lot of equipment and for whom nature offers comfort enough. Holger, the host, is a friendly and interesting bird; we had one or two nice chats. In general, the communication was very pleasant: friendly, informative and relaxed, with just the right amount of commitment. I will definitely be back!
Beautiful pitch in the countryside. Very nice hosts, clear recommendation for a quiet, self-sufficient pitch. You can start a hike directly from the pitch.

A wonderful, quiet place, a warm welcome from Holger, a fire bowl with kinstern fire in the evening. Forest sounds in the morning, a relaxing hike on the Fürstenweg, we felt very, very comfortable and will be very happy to come back. It was really great, beautiful natural forest . Campsite was clean and well maintained. Host Holger is a really friendly and sociable person. The homemade orange liqueur we got was really out of this world. Thank you so much for this great time.

Better than we dreamed it would be! Holger was super relaxed and nice, the arrival worked perfectly and the place was just a dream. :) Nice and quiet and in the middle of nature, just the thing to switch off. With campfire and the sounds from the forest gings of course no other way ;) We will definitely come back again!

We had a very nice weekend in the Westerwald with Holger. A wonderful quiet place with direct possibility to start a hike. Holger is a super host and gives helpful tips. We will be happy to come back.
Not promised too much! The place is really in the middle of the forest and offers absolute peace. The nearest hiking trail is 50m away, from there you have all the possibilities to make extensive tours. These can then end at a great restaurant right nearby. You do not need more! On top there is with Holger also a friendly and courteous host. Perfect!
The perfect place to relax, sunny meadow in the middle of the forest, foxes, mice, owls and fireflies included. Thank you, Holger, for the nice welcome! Definitely this place is on my favorites list for small time outs, hiking trails and the exciting museum just around the corner! I will definitely be back!

The place at Holger's is super nice! Located in a very nice section of forest, in front of their own property with enough distance for privacy. The place is big enough so that you can enjoy enough peace and quiet despite other guests. Great I found the many birds that I could hear. I mean at night also to have heard wild boars. :) Also as a backpacker with tent and dog a great spot. Thank you for this wonderful time! I will certainly come back again.

If you are looking for absolute seclusion in a great landscape and want to be self-sufficient, this is the place for you. Long walks on the Märkerwaldweg and the Fürstenwanderweg through the great Wiedish beech forests, as well as nice conversations with the host Holger included.

It was super nice at Holger, the place invites you to come down. Holger is very nice and even offered us to spend the night in the guest room during a strong thunderstorm. Fortunately, however, there was no thunderstorm and we could enjoy the nature including campfire in the fire bowl. Gladly we come again, thank you Holger and all the best.
The place with Holger is fantastically located. The peace and quiet has done us very well and we were very satisfied with our stay. Holger has put us a nice fire bowl, so we could make a nice fire! In the surrounding forest you can find some firewood. Thank you for the beautiful weekend.
Holger offers a mega beautiful location, makes an insane amount of effort and is super helpful ! We really liked it and we found it great that the hiking trails start directly at the site.
Nice host. Beautiful corner! You just have to realize that it is only a pitch, nothing else. There is nothing to complain about, only the price is not a bargain for it! Thanks Holger. See you soon!

Super quiet place in the middle of the forest. From there you can start beautiful hikes. Holger is very friendly and helpful.
A very nice, quiet clearing directly on the Rheinsteig. A great starting point for hikes! There are three pitches that have been mowed free, the high grass and plants in between provide privacy. Holger has received us very nice, also the contact in advance was very uncomplicated and friendly. We will be happy to come back, thank you for everything!

A great quiet place under old oaks, beeches and yews! A very great host, Holger it was a feast for us to have met you! Mega we were thrilled by the museum Monrepos, which was 9 min walk through the forest away. All highly recommended, we will be happy to come back!
The location of the place is super. Located directly on the Rhein-Steig (07) and Märkerwaldweg. On foot you are with children in about 5 km in the water park Feldkirchen. The place is - as also described in the description - located in the middle of nature. The host Holger is super friendly and very accommodating. I can recommend this place without reservation and we will definitely visit again.
