We spontaneously decided we wanted to get out of the city and came across this app. After browsing for a few minutes, we found this little gem. We sent an instant booking request and got a response very quickly. After a brief conversation with David and confirmation, we set off on Friday evening. Once we got off the highway, the scenery quickly turned rural and very, very quiet. It was already dark when we arrived. David was already waiting for us, so we found the place right away. We went over the basics together, and he showed us around. The path to the site itself isn’t really a “path” per se. It’s a good 100 meters on foot across a field—you can only guess what’s there. It felt almost like the wardrobe in *The Chronicles of Narnia*: you walk through a small passage at the edge of the forest and suddenly find yourself right in the middle of it. It wasn’t until the next morning that we really saw where we’d ended up. A little world of its own. The fire pit right by the pond, with a water source next to it. (Very clean and cold.) We were able to wash up and cool off there. On the way to the car to buy something for the grill, we were also invited in for coffee. But we were in a hurry and had to pass. There’s a restroom, too—a little cabin with a door. Inside, a regular toilet seat, toilet paper, and peace and quiet. Underneath is a hole and a trough where, after doing your business, you sprinkle some sawdust or wood shavings. (Completely odorless.) My wife is always a bit picky about this sort of thing, but it was totally fine. Firewood for the stove was also provided, and you could spread out however you liked. We found the peace and idyll there that we’d been hoping for. As a bonus, you could even see the Milky Way at night. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks :)
