Your hosts are Marleen (from Belgium), Gert (from the Netherlands), their three children—Jin, Yu-Cheng, and Mei-Mei—and their two friendly dogs, Ireck and Marley. We’ve been living in Hestrup near Nordhorn in the county of Bentheim since 2009 and have a small hobby farm with Icelandic horses.

We had a wonderful time! The hosts were very welcoming and made sure we felt right at home from the start. The place was wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by all the animals, and just the right spot to leave everyday life behind. We also highly recommend the breakfast, which you can book in advance! It’s lovingly prepared and simply delicious. We’d love to come back!

We stayed there for 4 nights and didn’t miss a thing. The hosts were absolutely wonderful—always helpful and friendly. The cake from the café was fantastic, and they even helped us out with some sugar 😘. The campsite is in a really quiet location. The hot tub comes highly recommended. The only thing you should bring along: something for mosquitoes or mosquito bites 🤣
A wonderful spot nestled among meadows and fields, where chickens wander by. It was easy to get there, and I received a warm welcome from Marleen and her family. I'd love to come back.
Such a lovely host! The campsite is in a beautiful spot at the end of the property. There are horses and free-range chickens on the farm, as well as two super-friendly dogs that come to visit you every now and then. Plus, the little farm café is open on weekends, where you can get delicious cake and coffee. I highly recommend it. We’d love to come back! The Vechte River is within walking distance. The campsite has a composting toilet and a shower. But there’s also a full bathroom in the house with a toilet, sink, and shower.
A very kind hostess who wants her guests to feel right at home. You get all the information you need. The property is very spacious and has a charming, rustic design. The outdoor shower and restroom are also rustic and in tip-top shape. Several electrical outlets are available on the property.Lots of horses and chickens all around, beautiful rural surroundings, just 5 minutes from Vechta, and plenty of space for relaxing walks with the dog. We sat around the campfire in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Marleen's Farm is highly recommended for a relaxing getaway! We pitched our tent on a large meadow where we could choose our own spot, and it had direct access to water. We found a very clean bathroom with a shower and toilet. Don't miss out on breakfast! Communication with Marleen was straightforward and always friendly. Thank you so much for this weekend! Hi everyone, that was a really nice campsite; we stayed there for one day. Unfortunately, the weather was very rainy and changeable, but even so, it didn’t spoil our time there. The hospitality was simply wonderful☺️ We highly recommend taking a long walk around the farm along the water, and we visited the nearby monastery—it’s definitely worth a detour. That weekend, there was a small flea market on the farm—it was really nice—and the hot chocolate and cake were simply fantastic. We’d love to come back🏕️

A beautiful and very cozy place with a very special charm. Perfect for RVs, tents, and anyone who just wants to enjoy a few quiet days. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We especially recommend the breakfast—it’s delicious and made with love. For us, this place is a real hidden gem and a little treasure! ✨

A very nice and easygoing host—very helpful, friendly, calm, and open-minded—and there’s plenty of space. Even with the large group that was also camping there, it was very quiet. The hosts had made sure in advance that we were spaced far apart. With so much space available, that wasn’t a problem at all. On the day we left, we spotted three storks in the adjacent meadow. We’d love to come back and will definitely stay a little longer next time. Best regards, Christiane & Frank
