We’re a retired couple living on a small farm with a few chickens. We’re campers ourselves. We have a double-leaf entrance gate that has to be closed repeatedly because of the chickens. For pedestrians and cyclists, we have a small side door that also needs to be closed frequently. You’ll receive personal instructions on how to use the restroom and shower. The same applies to electricity access. About 100 meters away is a small shop with a café, the DKE (Dorf-Kultur-Erbe), where you can also have breakfast. The new outdoor pool in town opens at 11:00 a.m. during the season. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

This was my first time spending the night at a private campsite, so I was naturally a little nervous. Luckily, I had “my first time” with Frank—we were welcomed very warmly, and my initial shyness quickly faded. The site was in a beautiful garden with plenty of shade. The chickens roamed freely and were curious. We were allowed to help ourselves to blackberries and were given fresh eggs as a gift. The spot was quiet, and the nearby Waldbad is highly recommended. Frank and his wife are definitely very nice hosts.
