Manon and your lovely family, were a real asset to our little farm community. The kids were so happy playing with the bunnies, or sometimes going for walks with the donkey… and the pool was even open despite the water shortage. It was nice to see you enjoying some quiet time together in the greenery—it was wonderful to see how harmonious everything was. Despite the language barrier (I don’t speak French…), we were able to communicate very well, since you, dear Manon, speak “very good German”! The little rays of sunshine tried to explain things to me with their hands and their open-hearted nature—and it worked! Great. So I think, despite the extremely hot, dry weather (except for the day we left… when it finally RAINED after almost 6 weeks), it was still an all-around wonderful Black Forest nature experience.
