After booking at the last minute the day before, we were given a very warm welcome by the whole family! The campsite was gorgeous, right by the river and wonderfully shaded. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night, but we really enjoyed our short stay. There was one other guest there, but thanks to the spacious grounds, it didn’t bother us at all. You access the site through a meadow; if it’s wet, a four-wheel-drive vehicle might be helpful.
I felt so good that I stayed on for two more days. If you don't need any frills, but just want a place in nature to unwind, this is the perfect spot for you.
This was my second time there, and I felt completely at home again. It's just a great place, and Elisabeth is so warm and welcoming.
It was a dream. We had the place all to ourselves. Beautifully situated by the stream. And, contrary to expectations, no swarms of mosquitoes. I highly recommend it. A warm welcome from the hosts was the perfect finishing touch. Thank you for making such a lovely little spot on earth available to us. 🤩
Elisabeth and Steffen were very nice and accommodating. The place is beautiful and in a quiet location. We were there on our motorcycles and had no trouble getting to the spot. We'd love to come back!

A wonderful little spot right in our neighborhood. We used it as a place to get away from it all and study for our upcoming exams. It doesn’t get any better than this. Pure nature. Peace and quiet, birdsong, and the stream to cool off in every now and then. We’ll definitely be back. Whenever we need a quick getaway 🤗 Elisabeth picked us up and guided us there. There was also a fire pit and fresh eggs from Elisabeth’s chickens....Perfect.....

It is precisely this hospitality that makes your campground so special. The peaceful atmosphere, the thoughtful design, and the wonderful surroundings made our stay a truly memorable experience. You can feel the effort and dedication you put into making everyone feel welcome everywhere you go. Thank you so much for your wonderful work and for creating such a special place. Communication was great both before and during our stay. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed our time there.
This is already my second stay with Elisabeth and Steffen—I had such a great time the first time! There are now three designated parking spots. The rear spot, number 3, is right next to a bend in the stream and is perfect for VW buses and similar vehicles. I especially recommend this spot for hot summer days because the spots are shaded and kids (and dogs) can go right down to the stream. In Hassenbach, there’s even a proper swimming spot on the Thulba, less than a 10-minute walk away.
A dreamy location by the stream, next to trout ponds and below a small paddock. A large, flat meadow area in partial shade beneath old deciduous and coniferous trees. Communication via cell phone was quick and easy. Access via a dirt road was completely hassle-free. Steffen picked me up at the meeting point and drove ahead to the site; Elisabeth stopped by in the afternoon with a bouquet of kitchen herbs as a welcome gift—so sweet! 10 minutes from the A7 highway; shopping, a gym, and a gas station in the neighboring village to the south, about 2.5 km away via a well-maintained walking/biking path. Many surrounding communities have campsites with water and waste disposal facilities. Great starting point for bike tours in the Rhön.
